NOW PLAYING

Wishbone’s “Throw Down the Sword” clearly inspired Steve’s “Afraid to Shoot Strangers” — the same rhythmic figures and patterns. Youthful inspiration preserved through the decades!
Wishbone’s “Warrior” inspired Steve’s “Look for the Truth” — the guitar rhythms are very similar. “Fortunes of War” is also kind of in the same vein.
Maybe that's why Steve loves TXF album, those melodic ideas are still great and strong (and for that time), probably his most personal album.
This song seems to be very liked by the fans, maybe they'll play it live.

Maiden’s “Moonchild” intro is somewhat similar to Golden Earring’s “Radar Love” (Golden Earring being one of Steve’s favorite bands), although “Moonchild” isn’t a Steve song, so it might just be a coincidence. The rest of “Radar Love,” though, is very Running Free.
