NOW PLAYING

Tailgunner - Futures Lost (live) :rocker:

They're a good live band too. This is a really cool and effective song from their debut - a slight power metal sound, fast verses, catchy melody and chorus, strong solos and riffs, and the Maiden-esque harmony is pure gold (the drumming under it reminds me of Nicko's style). :)

Iron Maiden - Where Eagles Dare (live 1993, Vienna)

Great close-up footage, very good sound, rare song for the tour. Bruce with strong vocals (not common for this tour) and Janick's additional solo in the middle is odd, but I would have liked it in the original version, it somehow fits oddly enough. Like in Drifter 2005.

Dont agree about the weak vocals during 92 93 tour. Is true that bruce wasnt into it during some songs in some shows. Its like in rising hell video. He sings different the songs but good singing and he used that way in his 2 first solo albums in the 90s. Not tattoed millionare

Bruce giving a shit was the exception rather than the rule on that tour, as documented on many bootlegs.

I always found puzzling that they played a shortened version of the song. For fuck’s sake, after all the hard work that Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood put into completing the mission and Bruce did not even bothered singing that bit!

Agreed. And the band was on fire with the playing.

Yep. Odd, almost 2 minutes shorter, and it still works. It's curious when they sometimes change a song live, but I mean in added parts.

NP: Blood On The World's Hands (live, TAATG single)

I just love the bass solo and I think this could have been a title track (especially the chanting of the chorus; others could have been - Sign, Flies, Judgement). The urgent riff, solos and overall vibe are so TXF and work perfectly. The verses are some of the best from the Blaze era. The song is even heavier live.

I hear echoes of Maiden’s Purgatory in this song — especially in the underlying rhythm.
