Painkiller vs Puppets is excruciating. Gotta go with MoP — incredible, iconic cover — but Painkiller is also awesome and shouldn’t go this early.

Holy Diver and Rising destroy their competition and in the Nightwish-off Oceanborn edges it out for me.
 
Holy Diver is one of the covers that could go all the way to the Big Final! @MrKnickerbocker nominated very strong ones! 9 of his 10 nominations made it into the Finals! Quite impressive.
I love the use of colours in Sad Wings Of Destiny and too bad it has to go allready.

Puppets is iconic but I went with Painkiller in the end. But it was very close!

Rising is also iconic but own nomination bias and abit of a pity vote for Tull. Allready happy it made it to the Finals!

The Nightwish battle was also very close but I like Century Child a tiny bit more.
 
None of my nominations made it, but this is still a strong finals! I'm struggling with the Nightwish derby, I think I convinced myself I like Oceanborn when writing about it earlier in the game... :facepalm:
 
There have been quite a few upsets for me so far, but these first Finals are good.

Voted for:

Sad Wings Of Destiny (a close call, Holy Diver is iconic and impactful, both use the same colors, but Priest's creatures are always interesting)

Painkiller (easy vote over Master Of Puppets)

Rising (both are cool fantasy, but I'm not a fan of Tull's creature face, while the rainbow adds a lot)

Oceanborn (Century Child is good, but I chose the more mystical looking one)
