Are there enough songs to make a compilation of songs where the vocal melody is being shadowed by the guitar? Usually Janick.

Dance of Death (bridge section, when you’re lying in your bed …)

Fear of the Dark isn’t one, no one plays the melody at the same time as the vocal.

I think you're right with these. There's probably more.
I like this feature, as much as I like pure riffs. And it's needed for some songs like Parchment, Hell On Earth, Wild Wind, Silent Planet, Brave New World, Aces High, Prowler...

A surprisingly short list, though it's missing Lost In A Lost World, which is one of the worst cases of guitar following the vocals in my opinion.

Empire of the Clouds has piano following the vocals, and the guitar riff around 12:33 also follows the vocal line.

During reunion they have done that. But again i think worst cases are on the second half of dance of death. 0 passion 0 ideas
