RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Infinite Dreams is my favorite song since I heard it in 1993, the one who made me adore maiden. How disappointed I was back in 2012-2014! I think they'll play it this time, I hope so very much, and that might be the only deep cut they will resurrect.
The only reason not to play it is that it didn't quite work in 2012. Maybe too difficult for Bruce to sing.
I don't say it's impossible, it's definitely possible, but is it likely though? I hope they give it a try at least

I've always dreamed of hearing it live, ever since I saw Maiden England on videotape. Like you, I was really disappointed when it was dropped from the setlist for the Maiden England World Tour 2012-2014 — especially since some reports said the band had even rehearsed it for the tour.

I think now is the perfect time to resurrect this forgotten gem. It was only ever played live during the Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour in 1988, so it's very likely they'll bring it back—at least I hope so. It's now or never!

The Maiden England tour was the first time I saw Maiden live with Bruce in 20 years. I too was disappointed they didn't play Infinite Dreams and a bit shocked they didn't play Hallowed. But I really didn't care because, as I said......it was the first time seeing Maiden live with Bruce in 20 f'kin years!

Yep, I can relate. I can deal with anything and 2000's tours have provided plenty of good times. I only wish to hear Infinite Dreams once live in my lifetime, then Im happy about it.

In the coming days, I'll try to reflect more deeply on it, looking back at the past and considering which songs might end up making the final setlist. It's both exciting and intriguing—not knowing at all whether we're even close to the truth. There are so many possibilities, and the way recent tours have brought back long-forgotten tracks really opens the door for something special on this anniversary tour.

It will be interesting to see what Bruce really meant by the 'mind-blowing first five songs' in the set... of course it’s marketing talk, but it still makes me wonder.

If Bruce could sing “Aces High” on LOTB and “Alexander the Great” on TFPT then he can easily seen “Infinite Dreams”, that song is a cakewalk.

I mean Aces High wasn't one of his good moments. He struggled in the 80s too, but Aces High is a hit and iconic as an opener. Infinite Dreams, as much as we like it, is not a song that they have to play. I think he can still sing Infinite Dreams, but definitely it's more difficult than Alex for Bruce.

...makes me think. There's more to this. I'm on the brink...

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

As long as they don't bring back Sanctuary and specially Drifter (one of their worst songs ever) I'm fine with whatever they play.
Of course, deep inside, in my wish list there are the following:
- Remember tomorrow (I know that in 2005 already, Bruce said they wouldn't playing it again and its mainly a Paul song but as I said, my wish list)
- Purgatory (again 0% chances it'll happen since last time it was played it was back in 1981 so...)
- 22 Acacia Avenue
- Still life
- To tame a land
- Back in the village (0% chances)
- Sea of madness
- Infinite dreams
- Only the good die young
- No prayer for the dying
- Run silent, run deep (0% chances)
- Be quick or be dead
- Judas be my guide (0% chances)

If in all of these, they play, lets say 2 of them, the rest could be the classic hits setlist (Iron Maiden, Wrathchild, NOTB, HBTN, Run to the hills, Trooper, 2 Minutes, TETMD, FOTD), fine for me.
Agreed about Drifter & Sanctuary

From your list, I think the chances for those aren't too bad:

-Be Quick Or Be Dead
-No Prayer For The Dying (for some reason I'm quite sure they will play this one)
-Sea Of Madness
-Still Life

Yeah that verse is a tongue-twister, indeed. Maybe you're right actually. Imo, the chorus of Infinite Dreams is difficult breathing-wise. I'm positive, Bruce can still sing it, but I don't see any other reason to skip it in 2012.
It’s either got to be the difficulty of singing Infinite Dreams or how it fit into the flow of the set list. I mean they have dropped deep cuts before because of the ‘flow’. Stranger in a Stranger Land in 1999, Charlotte in 2005, Thousand Suns in 2010 are the ones that come to mind.

I would lean more to the reason of difficulty. Bruce admits in his autobiography that he found the 2011 Final Frontier tour exhausting. I think that was the first tour where I really noticed him struggling. Singing The Talisman night after night probably did him no favours (although he did a great job some nights). He probably wanted an easier tour in 2012, hence why they put in a few easy songs E.g. Strangers and Phantom. However the only contradiction for this theory is Aces High in the encore. That was a ridiculous choice. I reckon they only played it because Bruce had lined up the Spitfire stunt at Donnignton 2013 a year or so in advance and needed a song to link it to in the setlist.

Personally, I think the Maiden England tour was the worst setlist I have seen from the boys. Sure there were some songs I loved hearing, but the tour didn’t have much of an identity. It didn’t know if it was supposed to be a history tour or greatest hits tour. Also, they only brought back 3 songs that they haven’t played in an age. I suppose that was better than 2008 where they only brought back two songs that they hadn’t played since 1999.

Anyway, it would be nice to hear Infinite Dreams.

It is strange isn't it, I also felt this way about Maiden England. It was partly the pacing and the dilution of the 7th Son theme in how the setlist progressed. It felt more like a generic greatest hits tour than it should have done. Aces High definitely did not belong in that set.

I'd say SBiT was much better because the gap was nine years at least since the last time Aces High, Powerslave and Wasted Years got played, and five years for HCW and CIPWM. Not to mention Rime obviously, and Moonchild. ME in comparison really felt like the most cynical way to do a tour based on the Maiden England setlist (2/3 of it I think was the exact quote) since it meant they could safely skip out on most of the lesser-played non-SSOASS songs and replace them with more popular choices like AH, Trooper or 2MTM.

Im gonna take a guess. The Legacy songs wont be played. Im not counting the songs they pretty much always play, Trooper, Hills, Hallowed, Beast, but the rest I think is out. So, these are out:

Aces
2 Minutes
Revelations
Where Eagles Dare
Flight of Icarus
Evil That Men Do
I really hope the choice of the songs will be different from the 80's songs on LOTB, not like ME tour, but 2 Minutes and Evil (even with Clairvoyant) are likely. The ''rare'' songs could be at the beginning of the set. The set can be different enough from the 2005/2008 tours with the right songs. More RLT approach for some part, for example.
Just did a brief look at setlist carryover from tour to tour (including overall scope of songs, like say a song was switched out between years... that includes LotB's Senjustu) Don't think this really has much to do with this upcoming tour at all as we know Senjutsu material will be excluded and it's not like they'll do a heavy focus on Somewhere in Time again, but I was just curious.

Stats look like...

Legacy of the Beast -> The Future Past = 4
The Book of Souls -> Legacy of the Beast = 6
Maiden England -> The Book of Souls = 6
Final Frontier -> Maiden England = 8
Somewhere Back in Time -> Final Frontier = 8
A Matter of Life and Death -> Somewhere Back in Time = 9
Eddie Rips Up the World -> A Matter of Life and Death = 6
Dance of Death -> Eddie Rips Up the World = 6
Give me Ed... Til I'm Dead -> Dance of Death = 8
Brave New World -> Give me Ed... Til I'm Dead = 10

Certainly think we're setting a new 'low score(?)' this tour.
6 (to 8) carryover songs from a previous set is always likely and is probably the best amount we can hope for.
