RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

He, also, said that fans will say "I can't believe they're playing this!" for a particular song.
What song could that be? Loneliness? Only the Good Die Young? Still Life? It should be a song that was never played or that hasn't been played for years.
It will be Wasting Love, its so far up on the streaming services.

My setlist options:

1. Introduction
2. Be Quick or be Dead
3. 2 Minutes to Midnight
4. Wrathchild
5. The Trooper
6. Infinite Dreams
7. Killers
8. Wasted Years
9. Powerslave
10. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
11. Bring Your Daughter...
12. Phantom of the Opera
13. Fear of the Dark
14. Hallowed be Thy Name
15. Iron Maiden
-----------------------------------
16. The Number of the Beast
17. Run to the Hills
18. Running Free

Approx. 110 min running time
yeap very near to my guess list and this must be the ultimate average of all the guess lists, the skeleton/core of the tour... but since bruce said the first 30 minutes will blow our mind, there must be sth very surprising. to tame a land? sea of madness? weekend warrior? we'll see... :)

I have never understood the dislike for the two songs. They are great fun live.
100%

This could well be Iron Maidens last ever tour. They are aware of that. Its the 50th anniversary. Combine that with the Early Days vibe in the promo material and I can't see a world where they don't play Running Free at least. Last song of the night. Has to be. And I for one will be utterly delighted.

Also, I wonder if this is the longest gap without Running Free in the set? 15yrs, 4 tours since TFF. Too damn long!

I think they burnt those songs during 80s and 90s. So for some of us are boring. I prefer wrathchild live. Has more energy and a great chorus to shout

"Here comes my chance to showcase my singing!"

Im sure that they dont care about what spotify says. The make the setlist as they said for them and for the fans
Spotify serves as an indicator of the most popular songs because it functions as a statistical tool. If Maiden weren’t interested in their most popular tracks, Legacy of the Beast or Run for Your Lives wouldn’t have happended. Metallica are known to use Spotify data when planning their setlists. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek highlighted this himself: “You have an artist like Metallica, who changes their setlist on a city-by-city basis just by looking at Spotify data to see which songs are most popular in that city.”

It's different for Maiden as they play the same setlist throughout a tour, but I'm sure Wasting Love passing the 100 million mark must have gotten the attention of the band and the management, no matter the reason (for example metal magazines and promotors pushing the song to every single 'best metal songs' playlist). I think the popularity of Wasting Love is somewhat fabricated, maybe the industry wants to push a lighter version of Maiden to attract new fans. I don't know.

Maiden didnt use spotify to create legacy tour. Was bruce who came with the idea of war religion and hell and the stage changes.

Are you saying that song popularity had no influence on his decision? So, if Bruce had proposed that the band perform A Matter of Life and Death and The X Factor in full—just because they align thematically with war, religion, and hell—the rest of the band would have gone along with it without question? Bruce's Mandrake tour was basically a setlist performing the most popular Bruce solo songs on Spotify. Some people were surprised by Navigate the Seas of the Sun in the set, but it's like the third most streamed Bruce solo song. Others wanted Tattooed Millionaire stuff with they didn't play because of Z, but he wasn't there for the tour so why no TM songs? Because they are not popular enough, which you can tell by looking at - you guessed it - Spotify. It isn't the bible, but it makes it much easier for bands to see what songs work. Hell on Earth skyrocketed early on on streaming services and its no surprise it was used as the encore opener for FP tour.

Spotify as an indicator of popularity doesn’t always transfer into the real world. SZA has billions of streams and she headlined Glastonbury last year. Apparently her set was poorly attended for a headline act. If you ask anyone who went to Glastonbury last year who were the most attended acts, they will say Shania Twain and Avril Lavigne. Nostalgia sells. People want to relive their youth.
