A noticeable prop for a big epic won't be a surprise (although with more screens I wonder if they use props?), but a boat... wow. I guess it's just an expression.

Props would be a lot more Maidenish way to scale up the show, though.

And has it actually been stated anywhere that they'd be using screens that much more anyway? I mean, sure, they've mentioned that they'll be presenting show elements they haven't done before, but they've already used bit of screens on the Future Past run and, essentially, replacing backdrops with a huge led screen (meh) would essentially just be a bit different approach to good-old backdrops.

My wild guess is that the stage show will be a mixture of Maiden England & The Legacy of the Beast approach; something that'll take us through the history of Maiden imagery around 1980-92 with a couple of different "main settings" (a bit like LOTB, but with totally different imagery and aesthetics) and loads of visual references (like Maiden England) presented in a certain visual framework. Whether it'll be something more epic and, e.g referring to Powerslave or the more on the "streets of East End" side of the early albums and tour teaser remains to be seen.

And yes, big props!

Props Maiden's way, but they said they will do something different from anything they have done before, so. Will big props and big screen combine well?
They used 2 small screens for TFP, while the options for the new tour are: more than 2 screens (like Priest's current tour, for effects; or wider screens) or one screen replacing the backdrops (like Bruce's solo tour, but bigger). I guess the former could be a continuation of the previous tour, so they might not do it. But what else? Bigger/extended in a way stage? I think wider screens will be better.

One noticeable and ''unique'' thing would be to use screens (for even more effects and epic visuals) not only for the big screen/s - but also for the main design/decor of the stage! That's it.

Good idea for the stage show to take us through the history of the band with imagery (early days, POM, Egyptian visuals, futuristic(?), icy, early 90's(wood?)), a bit like LOTB tour (like ME, not sure) so they could do it, but that would mean to use themes again and songs from albums in a row, I doubt it.

It's curious if the band/Rod will notice the popularity of Wasting Love on streaming platforms and add it to the set. It would make sense. I hope so, but if I have to choose between it and Be Quick, I really can't. I guess they will want to have a slower mid-tempo song, so if they don't play Children/No Prayer/Prodigal Son.

Not necessarily, as certain imagery can very well support songs from different albums than where the visual clue are initially from.

I don't believe that they'd just run through the iconic visual landscapes anyway, but mix them up with something new, like the speculated big set piece for (potentially) Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

The Maiden England comparison came to my mind for two reasons: it is, so far, the only tour with two *non-inflatable* "big Eddies" and the stage set was (for better or worse) bit of a hybrid of rehashing one particular classic stage and including visual clues from the wider era, 80's in this case; other history tours did kind of a similar thing, of course.

So I think the new show *might* very well have...

- above average amount of props like Eddie, candles and other stuff of similar nature integrated to the stage set during certain songs
- a few very different "visual landscapes", hence probably a bit more "shifting" stage than before, with one or two core settings. So not exactly like the Legacy tour, but more of a certain songs having very extensive & exclusive stage show settings, where as the basic stage layouts lends itself to a majority of performances rather well.

E.g Fear of the Dark and, if they'll play it, Bring Your Daughter... would totally fit for the "street-like" stage setting or whatever.

True, but I don't expect the set to be split into ''worlds'' again (in a way; although it would be fitting, and Bruce said they could use LOTB's idea in the future again), that's what I wanted to say. I think almost every song will have its own setting (like for TFP), not for example 3 songs with a ''street'' setting. Iron Maiden, for sure. The show should be more ''moving'' than LOTB scenarios.

Brand new (or more than one) art/visual specifically for the tour (although it's not an album tour) that will be used for more than 1 song is expected, yes. And I don't mean a prop.

And songs from the first 2 albums, but I think Fear Of The Dark will have the setting from the album cover.

Like every History tour. ME tour had a unique way of merging stage and backdrops and this tour could have something similar (with props too), but I think with screen/s they will want to show different landscapes/Eddies.

Yep. Some songs to have extensive visuals, ''shifting'' stage sounds right. For some reason I don't expect that many props, but if this is the band's biggest show, there should be.

That hint "setlist for ages" there is nothing more left in the can for this band to surprise the fans so a setlist from 1980 to 1992 with number of the beast trooper run to the hills evil that men do iron maiden fear of the dark and many otherz overplayed songs for me would be maybe the word is not boring but i would not call that set list for ages.
So be quick or be dead to tame a land rime of the ancient mariner phantom of the opera and other surprises would be that. I mean legacy was greatest hits. I hope we have 5 surprises at least.

I think the big change will be screens. Where? Will they leave their classics backdrops? I think will be a mix.

A setlist full of Maiden's 80s hits/classics could very well be defined as being "setlist for the ages". Overplayed for some, the first time hearing them live for many, especially in stadiums.

Anything but Aces High from Powerslave for me. Not that I dislike it, but they are just too old to pull it off at this point.

I never thought I would leave a Maiden show early to avoid a song, but that is what I did on 2022. I didn’t want to see Aces High. I couldn’t have my lasting memory of that song be spoiled by a lacklustre performance. I still don’t know what they were thinking on that tour.

2018 was immense though. Surely they won’t use the song again…
