"Birthday Snake"

Earthquake, brain shake
Don't forget to dream before you wake
Let it slither like a snake
Let her eat her birthday cake

Smell the oven while I bake
My baby's birthday cake
Let her wrestle with the snake
Let her eat her birthday cake

Jason's out on Crystal Lake
Watching all the ladies eat their cake
Watch them wrestle with the snake
Watch them eat their birthday cake

I Don't Believe In God (lyrics)

There's no sign of freedom, freedom doesn't exist
Freewill, eh? I can't find that word in my dictionary
Can you help me, but don't you resist
I need all the help in the world, in this undead cemetary
We call "Earth"

There's no difference between you and him
You all are the same, because that's the "cool" thing to be
Flooding the world with your stupidity, making us swim
And you don't even care, you just keep on staring with glee

I don't believe in God
I don't believe He can help us
And if he did, He wouldn't have cared

There exists no such person as "God"
Hmph. what a foolish thought
Too many lies and too much plod
Why can't anyone stay honorable, here in this drought?

I don't believe in God
I don't believe He would lift a finger
And there's no way, no way, no way to make a turnabout

Turnabout is impossible!!!

If I left tomorrow, would you care?
No, you wouldn't! You braindead zombies
Gone is that hopeful flare
Help me, I'm stuck in a burning maze of trees

I don't believe in God
I don't believe in Heaven
I don't believe in Hell
"Treat others as I want them to treat me"
Hah! That's a lie if I ever heard one

Turnabout is impossible!!!

There's no hope for the world now
We will kill ourselves soon
First you, then you, then me in tow
For we'll be trapped in the moon
In eternal darkness, and that's what we deserve

I don't believe in God
Turnabout is impossible
I don't believe in God
Turnabout is impossible

NO MORE NO MORE NO MORE NO MORE NO MORE
FREEEEEEEEEDOM!!!!

You know, people don't use the word turnabout in normal English like it's used in Phoenix Wright.

Uruk (lyrics)

These walls were made
For all of you
My fame will fade
And my empire too

Can't live with the guilt
Death wasn't the right way
Gone, and my world began to tilt
Towards the route of no more day

I've gone far beyond the deepest darkness
To seek the meaning of life
A story made to depress
Preparing for the night, I pull out my knife

"Life, which you look for
You will never find
For when the gods created man
They let death be his share, and life withheld in their own hands"

Everything's gone, it's all washed away
Life was all a game
The sun lets out a final ray
And darkness falls, it's the same

For you...

"Life, which you look for
You will never find
For when the gods created man
They let death be his share, and life withheld in their own hands"

I should clarify. That one is good musically. I think I could write music for that one.

However, I'm still alarmed at the subject matter ... sounds like suicide again? Everything alright there?

Try something that's not about death, with good musicality like that. More like Progression and Triple Deluxe, those were good.

I have now written music for this. Off now to record vocals. :ninja:
The first demo from StardustX: "Set In Stone".
Lyrics adapted from the original by @Stardust
Give them a second, just for now
Don't take them away or disallow
He has called you, but resist somehow
Don't listen to him, it has started now

And their spirits were set in stone
And their eyes were burning coals

When a light shines, he will take it away
When no one knows, he will manipulate
Try to escape, there's no way to
Run from this place, nothing you can do

And their spirits were set in stone
And their eyes were burning coals

<bass solo>

The day has closed and the night appeared
And the one who everybody feared
He looked around with a gaze of the weird
He wandered gracefully, stroking his beard
All seemed hopeless as he spoke his word
He banished us forever from the earth
And not a thing from us would be heard
Memories would be more than blurred
Gone...

And their spirits were set in stone
And their eyes were burning coals
Awesome.

A Show Of Hands (lyrics)

(acoustic guitar intro)

See the big clock hand on the wall
Look at the time, it's ready to call
Come, everyone, shut down the lights
Turn on the projector and watch all the sights

(switch to electric guitar, this is one of the two upbeat parts that I told you about)

Oh, boy! We got ourselves quite a catch today
There's no one else to blame
Now, what do you have to say?
Do you play us like fools, is this just a game
To you?

(small guitar solo)

The minimalist stands in the corner
He turns back in sorrow, he's a mourner
"Come back to me" he cries for his lost one
But nobody will hear it until he's gone

(small synth solo)

(Second upbeat part starts here. Just follow my instructions)

Can you hear it?
The light is calling us, doesn't it make you wanna cry
Out loud, but you don't have the voice to try
Look at my face, can't you see the tears?
You know me, it's grinding my gears

(synth/guitar duet)

The master plan, it's ready for launch
But the people, just leave them alone
They hate everything, they are a raunch
Will the show ever end...BEGONE!

(instrumental section to fadeout)

This song is not a rocker. At least not for the first six minutes of the song. At that point, it's kind of a dramatic ballad, sad sounding with a few upbeat parts but still keeping the sad atmosphere. After the word "BEGONE!", switch tempos. Now you can make it a progressive metal rocker. Put in solos, put in all you want, just remember not to ruin the atmosphere...
Got it? Go for it!

Lucky Sevens (Part 1) (lyrics)

Tickets to the golden pyramid, it's a double deceptor
With no one but everyone's there in the flesh
It came crashing through the light, like a dark interceptor
Mean streaks of purple were flowing in, but nobody saw the trash

Well, it's raining lucky sevens right now
Fate is running out of time
And we're heading out now, with a legion in tow
Dragons come out of the sea, they should call it a crime

Lucky sevens, see it
Lucky sevens, do it
Lucky sevens, burn it
Lucky sevens, kill it

The ancients all glimmer in the sunlight
But the night still glows bright
The sea of eternal pain grows trees
But no one holds the keys

Anyone can see the opening
But no one wants to go inside
The lake keeps flowing
And everyone's swept away by the tide

Lucky sevens, try it
Lucky sevens, freeze it
Lucky sevens, throw it
Lucky sevens, destroy it

Looks like it's another failure
But it's another success for them
Try climbing up the tower in an hour
Capture the flag, finish the game, get the gem

It's what keeps us awake at night
It's gonna be a bumpy ride, hold on tight
The worm took all of us down
But we blasted it out of the sky, out of the town

Lucky sevens, trap it
Lucky sevens, crash it
Lucky sevens, level it
Lucky sevens, annihilate it

Eh yeah YEAH YEAH, with the punching
Lucky sevens got ya covered
Ah yeah YEAH YEAH, with the punching
Lucky sevens got ya covered

^(repeat last part to fadeout)

I like this one. A couple of rough stanzas but good over all

This one is quite good. Let's take it to the next level.

Lucky sevens, see it
Lucky sevens, do it
Lucky sevens, burn it
Lucky sevens, kill it

Lucky sevens, try it
Lucky sevens, freeze it
Lucky sevens, throw it
Lucky sevens, destroy it

Lucky sevens, trap it
Lucky sevens, crash it
Lucky sevens, level it
Lucky sevens, annihilate it

Eh yeah YEAH YEAH, with the punching
Lucky sevens got ya covered
Ah yeah YEAH YEAH, with the punching
Lucky sevens got ya covered

^(repeat last part to fadeout)

This appears to be our chorus. The title begs for a 7/4 here, but we don't want to lose the groove.

Code:
7 | 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 & | 4
- | | - two bar riff
4 | Luck - y...... sev ens X it | 4

So we alternate 7 and 8 beat sections on the chorus. Same plan works brilliantly for the fadeout.

Code:
7 | 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 & | 4
- | | - two bar riff
4 | Ah....... yeah..... YEAH YEAH w/ th | 4 punching

7 | 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 & | 4
- | | - two bar riff
4 | Lu....... cky...... sev- ens got ya | 4 covered

Next there's three pairs of verses to work out. The second two pairs require the same music, following the ABAB-CCDD rhyme scheme. The first pair of verses needs its own music, which has no (lyrical) cause to repeat later, so we're looking at an extended intro here. The first pair of verses will have to be at a slower tempo, treated with more musical depth, before the song kicks into a higher gear. We're looking at a Ben Breeg here, I think.

I'll play around with some ideas and see how those verses want to be sung. More later. :ninja:
