A few tracks off "Best of the B-Sides"...?

DAMN.  That's sad news to me.. I've no problems with Blaze, it's just that I can't listen to him singing in Maiden without the constant imagining of how much better the song (to me) would be if it were Bruce instead.. Sign of the Cross on Rock in Rio is one of my all time favs.

A few tracks off "Best of the B-Sides"...?

Was browsing around the website and noticed there are a couple live tracks on the album I mentioned in the title.  I'm very curious as to who they might have on vocals for the live versions of "Blood on the World's Hands" and "Aftermath".. If it's Bruce, I'll need to get my hands on these songs...

    When the Wild Wind Blows

The Man Who Would Be King You and I must have something huge in common, then, because like I said that single moment when he begins to sing higher and the pace picks up is exactly what I was praying he'd do when I had listened to the demo!  He did, and to me it made the song.  Also, the only...

Any parts of songs that remind you of past songs?

See, one of my top five Maiden is Sign of the Cross @ Rock in Rio.. The album version wouldn't even be on my top twenty.  Just a matter of opinion though, I like it better with his voice and it seems to be sped up just the slightest. Lord of the Flies is definitely arguable..Futureal I simply...

Any parts of songs that remind you of past songs?

About Blaze.. the problem with him doing the vocals, to me, is that I always think "what a cool song.. .. .. but it'd sound so much better with Bruce singing!!" and then I begin to imagine it and become agitated.  This is why I love Clansman, Sign of the Cross and Lord of the Flies on their live...

Re: TFF is hands down the best modern Maiden album Iron Maiden is like the Pittsburgh Steelers.  One can say all the things they want about how great they are (and they are), but there will always be that dude in the corner who has to say "yeah, they're kicking ass but the defense is nothing...

    When the Wild Wind Blows

The Man Who Would Be King You mean when the song picks up and he sings a little louder?  That's easily my favorite part of the song (if I had to narrow it down to just a few seconds).

Songs that you didn't "get" until seeing them live

Very true.  I have to say my song of choice would be Sign of the Cross.  Blaze's voice just doesn't compare to Bruce.  When I hear Blaze sing, I can't help but imagine how great it would be, the same song except with Bruce as singer.

    When the Wild Wind Blows

The Man Who Would Be King Exactly, and that's what makes the song seem so hopeless in it's tone. Don't get me wrong, so far this is my favorite off the album and probably will continue to be, but I wish it was on a different album.  Most of the other nine songs are too good to make this one...

    When the Wild Wind Blows

The Man Who Would Be King LC I didn't mean it has a happy tone to it.. the tone it has seems desolate and hopeless the way I see it.  But this is emphasized by the fact that these people seem to be just shrugging it off, or making the most of it, or whatever.

    When the Wild Wind Blows

The Man Who Would Be King I see kind of a grim but accepting view on how the world's going to end in this song.  I think the tone captures perfectly the depressing thought that the world will end but these people just accept it with a smile. I might not be wording it right, but to give an...

    Satellite 15.. The Final Frontier

Re: Satellite 15....The Final Frontier Like I said, I don't know too much about music in a technical sense.  So, The Final Frontier and Brighter than a Thousand Suns can be considered Maiden's heaviest songs?  Could someone explain to me why that's an accurate or false statement, and what it...

    The Talisman

Nice.. guitar riff starting @ 2:21 sounds just like Ghost of the Navigator.. I'm beginning to wonder if these sea-faring epics have anything in common (even just a small yet intentional detail or two.) Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Ghost of the Navigator, Isle of Avalon, The Talisman..?  Just a...
