Tell me about it hahaha I don't think I've posted identical lists any time this topic has appeared. I think I have at some point said that Senjutsu is top 7 stuff, or even top 6 stuff. I think my ranking is weighted 80% towards sentimentality and 20% towards Iron Maiden's state and story behind the album.Dont wanna rank them, its to hard and it varies
I fear people took this post seriously and I would like to apologize to the public on the behalf of the Diesel Conglomerate. I’m listening, I’m learning, and I’m growing.I’ll have to save a full top 5 for another day, but my favorite Maiden album bar none is Killers. Sophomore slump? No way! The material on that album feels completely finished and it also ends with my all time favorite Iron Maiden song, “Drifter”! My biggest regret in life is not being old enough to have yo yo yo’d with Di’Anno. ):
Killers is definitely among my top Maiden albums and it's so much more than just a leftover kind of thing. One of the rare Maiden albums that seems to be not influenced much by marketing decisions or other calculations. The door was already opened (by the debut) while international marketing wasn't the main focus at that point in their career (one year later with TNOTB it was). Feels a good and honest mixture to me.I’ll have to save a full top 5 for another day, but my favorite Maiden album bar none is Killers. Sophomore slump? No way! The material on that album feels completely finished and it also ends with my all time favorite Iron Maiden song, “Drifter”!
