What Would You Say To A Guy...

Who says maiden never do anything new, write the same song over & over, don't have any concept in their albums, have meaningless lyrics that have nothing to do with the song they are in, they do stuff in the song that has nothing to do with the context (melodies and such) of the song, are an extremely commercial band that do what their fans want?

I stumbeled into an arguement with a guy that says all that, simply cuz he heard a couple of maiden songs and doesn't like 'em and is lookin' for excuses for his hatred, cuz he's a childish boob [!--emo&

Now, everyone is allowed not to like a band, I myself dislike many bands, such as judas priest, simply becuz they don't to it for me, but I acknowledge their influence and impact on the music world, and respect them, also, I don't slag on 'em cuz I don't like 'em, they make nice music, just doesn't get me like maiden, same thing for megadeth for example...

And just to piss off maverick, wasn't gonna ask but: WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I'm just wondering why isn't this thread already closed. Nothing against you Nobby, but your question shows a lack of personality, and maturity, which I hope that it isn't the real case.
Knowing how to react to such situations is knowing how to live in society. For every opinion that you hold, you'll find another one which indicates the complete opposite, just like you'll find others which partially agree with yours etc...
And if you don't have enough natural skills to deal with this kind of fact, I really don't have any idea how you'll be able to live the rest of your life, and communicate with ppl.

Take it as an advice, nothing more than that and nothing less.

Actually it was I who settled the arguement eventually, it was immature yes.
Everyone is intitled to an opinion, and whilst I was totally OK with the fact he hated maiden, I wasn't with the fact he thought the lyrics had no meaning, but I understood eventually that he's entitled to that too, I mean, to me it's a fact it's not true, but it seems to him it isn't, and that's that.

I never had a problem with people's opinions, especially regarding music, but I guess I snapped when he said bruce & 'arry's lyrics had no context and had nothing to do with the song, But he's entitled to it, I just didn't see it right then cuz I was pissed a little bit.

I didn't really ask a question, It was a stupid attempt to annoy mav as a joke, Ignore it. I know I can be immature and at the point I just wanted some support, it was stupid. I can assure you I don't Lack personality [!--emo&
