Wasted Years clip

That's new to me as well, and I must say IM are even cooler after seeing this lol.
I can only imagine how the TV directors reacted to this, but it was awesome!

I've seen that before as well. I read somewhere that they were mocking bands who were lip syncing at the time. The link name may also be hinting that... :P

Without opening it, I imagine it is the clip where they all switch instruments.

Ditto, somehow I knew it right away when I saw the thread title.

Really lads you gotta see 12 Wasted Years. Seek it out, full of quality interviews including this clip.

Indeed, and this clip isn't even the funniest moment. I was in stitches during that Rod interview in the park. Not because Rod said anything particularly funny, but because of the two curious grannies in the background. :D

I've seen 12 Wasted Years way back in the day on VHS, but it's been far too long to remember...any of it.  I do wish they'd re-release it on DVD.

I'd say they'll package it with Maiden England. It's not quite god enough for a stand alone release as a lot of it is on "The Early Years" and also online but it would make a hell of an extra.

Without playing the video again, i thought that was some EMI manager, not Rod...

Possible, all I remember from that clip are the grannies. ;)

Ha, it's actually Andy Taylor in that scene.  And it cracks me up as well.

It would be nice for them to reissue this along with something else.  It's not quite as good as Early Days as a documentary, but there are segments here and there that aren't featured on that doc and should be preserved on DVD/BluRay for all to see.

Definatley. If not only for the Dortmund 'banned' scene of Maiden killing Eddie on stage during 'Iron Maiden'. Curious how they didn't include this on 'The Early Days' dvd, considering they included other songs from this show, even though they had a version to put on 12 Wasted Years.

It's quite possible that the footage from 12 Wasted Years is the only footage left, and that was fragmented as far as I remember.

Not sure if it is fragmented. I'll have to rewatch the vhs sometime. ;)
