Trans-Siberian Wha?!

Ok, so I got the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Christmas eve and other stories five years ago and liked it a lot, then I got beethoven's last night like a month ago and enjoyed it, finally I got The Christmas Attic and The Lost Christmas eve and well.... I'M FLOORED! I copied all of them to my iPod made a "christmas" playlist and haven't stopped listening to it since! This is really awesome stuff. The blend of traditional with modern is perfectly balanced and the musicianship is superb. If you don't already have these albums I recomend you do, even if you are not religious or could give a rats ass about christmas these are really good albums.

I should buy it, the problem is (and I'm sure lots of people will agree) that I have no money [!--emo&:(--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/sad.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'sad.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

I just want to take the chance and tell everybody that I'll be having a christmas special radio show thursday night (dec. 8) as it is my last show of the semester. I'll be playing nothing but Trans-Siberian Orchestra, if you've never heard them I HIGHLY recommend you tune in, if you have heard them you won't get a wider variety of their material anywhere else. They are currently on tour so look them up!

Tune in at www.kamp.arizona.edu, the streaming link is in the top center of the page in the iTunes-like tuner. again thursday dec. 8th from 8pm-10pm Mountain Time (I like to call it Arizona time since Arizona doesn't follow daylights savings time).

I think Beethovan's last night is actually their weakest album. it is very good but Paul's thing is definately christmas. I saw them last sunday and they were AWESOME one of the best concerts ever.

I remember I went to go see them a couple years ago, and I wore my usual. Iron Maiden T. Check. Jeans. Check. Other random accessories (sweatbands, etc.). Check. Pumped up to rock attitude. Check. Well, I was told that they were a rock band with an orchestra and that they were playing in a more formal setting because of the orchesta. When I got their, I noticed most of the people there were dressed really nice [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/blink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'blink.gif\' /][!--endemo--] . I kind of felt out of place [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/blush.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'blush.gif\' /][!--endemo--] , but the show was great! I've heard the name, and people praising them as creative and original. I'd like to give them a try. What's a good album to start with?

If you are willing to spend a good amount of money, get their box set, The Christmas Trilogy. They only have one album that isn't Christmas related. It's called Beethovan's Last Night. Christmas music or not, their music is great. I listen to them in the summer!
