61 is an epic track — nice build, variety and playing, lots of interesting contrasts.
62 is dramatic and very metal, but 61 has more going on.

63 is really cool, no real melody, just some nice atmosphere
Like 62, 64 is dramatic and very metal. Unlike 62, it never gets boring. Great lead tone.

61 and 64.

First pair was a tough choice. I'm impressed by Mr Buckethead's creativity, I felt that piece had nice structure to it, although I was unimpressed to begin with. It also made next door's dog bark for some reason. I enjoyed King Diamond, but found it a little bit samey throughout.

Second pair had a nice Maiden instrumental in it, always a win, but maybe not fair opponent for Mr Hillage to be up against. Nevertheless, Mr Hillage's effort was a bit over-cheery for my liking, perhaps the result of too much serotonin?

Lurker: I wanted to pick something by Bucket with structure that would stand a chance. I thought people might like this.
Cremation: I enjoyed this. As mckindog says, quite "dramatic" sounding. Could have done with a solo.
Vote goes with Buckethead (#61).
Serotonin: This was good. Nice electronic/guitar vibe. Sometimes I can really listen to this type of stuff over straight Metal guitar work.
Ides of March: Short, but well constructed. Quite an unusually compact little track, with those two leads, when you think about it.
Vote goes with Maiden (#64).

61 and 64.

Other than a few annoyingly loud synth beats in the middle, 61 is amazing. I've never heard any of Buckethead's solo material and this piques my interest. Not to mention, the song is written about a fantastic HP Lovecraft story, and I love me some Lovecraft!

62 is alright, but nothing stood out to me. The ending was incredibly lame, as expected with anything by King Diamond.
63 simply has way too many bleeps and bloops. Not appealing to me in the slightest.

64 has great guitars and is Maiden.

What's with all the Mr's? :D

We're becoming a far more polite internet society, thanks to my influence. Hrmm, yes. Indeed. Quite.

There is indeed some odd & rather loud elements here & there. Not sure what that's about. Quite noticeable when listening through your headphones.

It was not written by H. P. Lovecraft:
