I'm sure that's going to happen in several of the rounds for me. I really didn't enjoy a lot of the instrumentals on the list.

I'll be honest - I disliked them all.

Indeed, this might be a problem...

Dixie Dregs: I liked the bass throughout the track. Not sure if it had much to offer besides this.
Camel: I'm a sucker for lead guitar + synth, so they got off to a good start. Overall didn't enjoy it though.
Vote went with Dixie Dregs (#5).
Weather Report: A little bit insubstantial. Groovy enough, but not much going on.
Floyd: The best of the four. Easily the winner of the head-to-head. Although, not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure.
Vote went with Pink Floyd (#8).

5 and 8.

I disliked both 5 and 6, both 7 and 8 were my suggestions but 8 is the better one for sure.

6 and 8.

I suggested the Dregs but that's not one of my favorites of theirs, figured the straight ahead rock style would be appealing. Guess not. I like Weather Report a lot (particularly that album) but was never huge on that song.

I gotta go with the crowd here. Other than Floyd, not a great group of songs.
I don't mind the type of music the Dregs is, but I don't like that song.
The Camel was at least more interesting
Weather Report definitely not my thing.

Didn't love 5 or 6 either, but I thought Dixie Dregs was more interesting -- Camel seemed like prog posers.

"One of These Days" is one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs, but is it really an "instrumental"? Mostly, yes, but it does have a lyric: "one of these days I'm going to cut you into little pieces."
