29 is tight musically and wonderfully relaxing, but not the sort of music I ever put on by choice.
I'm sure the band was having fun in 30, but, again, not really my cup of tea. I'll reluctantly vote 30.

31 was sporadic, but still an interesting track, proof of how I can enjoy more extreme metal bands when they don't sing.
32 LOL

First two aren't things I'd normally listen to. 29 is beautifully mellow, but I'm going to have to go with 30, as it was just more fun with some interesting bits of guitar.

The second pairing is a bit unfortunate, as I really liked 31, but 32 is Maiden, and one I'm fond of.

Hope you and Brig (and anybody else who feels addressed) don't mind but I wanted to say that I don't think that the sort of music has (or oughta have) anything to do with the pick. It's two songs and yourself.

If
you like one song (even if you wouldn't put something of that genre on yourself -which is in itself hard to imagine because if you haven't explored the genre, then you do not know why you would never put it on; I didn't listen til jazz til a few years ago, and before that I thought it wouldn't be interested; now I now better and how diverse this instrumental form of music can be-) more than the other: vote for it. That's all that matters. I am not saying that you didn't do this, I just wanted to keep us focused to the core of what this is about.

30 and 31

The second pair has 2 very good songs and as Maiden is going to win anyway, I'll vote Cosmic Sea.

I didn't automatically dismiss 29 because it was jazz.
I actually paid more attention to it because of that fact.
Ultimately I didn't really enjoy either song, but saw things to respect in both.

Likewise, again. I sat and listened to it, rather then just putting it on in the background, because I thought I'd never judge jazz without prejudice. But it still wasn't my favourite of the two.
