117 and 120. I wouldn't have suggested 117 if it wasn't awesome :P One of the most interesting songs here, fusion/jazz death metal.

Forgot to vote for the first pair, so count a vote for 117.
Then I voted for 120. Probably one of the best songs in the game.

118 and 120. Been listening to Dream Theater a bit recently, I enjoyed seeing them at Sonisphere. It was tough not to pick "--------" though. :p

117 was pretty interesting. I don't know how much I liked it, but it was interesting.
118 is just so...twee? I don't know. It's so cloyingly 70's-sounding that I just couldn't get into it.

I slept through 119.
120!!!

Didn't care much for either 117 or 118, but liked 118 a bit better. Knick is right, though, it does sound a bit dated.

120 was better than most of the Dream Theater I've heard but still a bit wanky. The Pink Floyd track, though not exactly an intro, really is intended to fit into the larger suite on the second side of the DSOTM album, and it therefore seems odd to my ears standing alone -- maybe because I've heard that album a million times. And love it. The first 75 seconds are not as strong, but the guitar work on that song is great -- MUCH better and more musical than on 120. I vote 119.

Good to read that a song, that's hard to imagine as a stand alone track, can be impressive enough to vote for, nonetheless.

Even though I like 117, I must say that 118 is really, really good. It starts quite dynamic and then later on, in the slow piece that magnificent guitar work that we can expect from Andrew Latimer. A more modern or metal sound on 117 is not going to change that. It's the core, the soul of the music that I care about.

(Flash not voting for 118 comes as a surprise)
