This will appeal to the guitarists out there

I hadn't seen it before... so thank you for starting a new thread Nephellim :) It was pretty cool, my only problem was, Where's the rest of the band!? I hear drums but I don't see them, how do I know he's really playing and not just faking it to some cool track? Just being picky, but that did bother me somewhat

Yes, the strings and drums are backing tracks, but this was his first run.  You can also hear that he makes a few mistakes in the video, and you can clearly see that there is perfect synchronicity between his hands and the sounds during vibrato and harmonic techniques.

Jerry C transcribed the music and was the first to play that composition on guitar.

The video that is linked to here is performed by Funtwo--- the guy in the video.  His video performance is masked by the audio performance bny Jerry C... Funtwo can obviously play it but that audio track on the video is not coming and never came from his guitar.

The man we see is Funtwo.
The man we hear is JerryC.
I hope that makes it easier to understand ;)

but the RTTH video by Glenn Roth in the related videos impressed me even more ;)

Yeah, that was great actually. The Malmsteen Arpeggios From Hell was pretty good to although I prefer the lesson gave my Petrucci in his 'Rock Discipline Video tutorial.

I believe that Conor is wrong; it is indeed Funtwo playing that guitar track. There are a couple times he makes very brief mistakes, and at those moments you can hear JerryC's guitar track in the background. However, the main track is Funtwo, and he plays it nearly perfectly.

I realise who's who, I have d'loaded JerryC's vid of the very same track. What I meant is that JerryC is the main talent.

Do you mean there are two tracks masked over the other?

I suppose it's possible that he's playing his guitar in perfect synchronicity with the backing track; after all, he's clearly playing the original track through his computer so that he can get the strings and drums accompanying him.  And as for the people doubting the honesty and validity of this video-if that isn't him playing the guitar, he's making all the right movements and positions to imitate the sounds made by JerryC.  It would be far easier to actually learn the song than try to fake it so well!  (Occam's Razor, I believe, as Mav would no doubt be quick to point out ;))

Indeed!

I'm glad you learned my teachings well, young Jedi.  :ok:

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Funtwo makes two minor, very quick mistakes in the final minute (he might have been getting tired.) In those spaces, both of which last for under a second, his guitar makes no sound, and you can hear another guitar track playing on his computer. It's a different guitar tone, and quieter. I presume it's JerryC. But Funtwo's guitar is loud enough to completely cover it up while Funtwo is playing.
