I wonder if they had to ask Riggs or Maiden for permission to use this design? Would they get royalties for allowing them to use this?
 
It's probably just a micky take. Other bands have done it in the past. I don't see anything wrong with it to be honest. Nothing can beat The Number Of The Beast album cover anyways.

If they wanted it to be a pisstake, they probably would've replaced the devil with eddie. You know, so their mascot would be 'controlling' Maiden's. Quite a good tribute cover, though. Anyone know of any other examples of bands taking their covers from maiden's?

Nice obvious use of paint there, connor. For some reason I find all the 'popular' metal bands really annoying and overrated (Slipknot, Korn, 'nu' metallica, Rage Against the Machine etc.). Maybe it's because I got into metal to escape the commercialism. Unfortunately, it always comes back to haunt you, like a fat, bloated, money-filled corpse. I don't have photoshop and that was just a 2 minute mess around for a bit of a laugh. Since you have hurt me and my efforts I have decided to make an improvement.
