Funny you should mention this. There's a town west of here in Nova Scotia called Windsor (the town in which hockey as we know it today was developed, actually) Their team was called the "Windsor Swastikas" until 1937.

Funny how there were so many hockey teams using it as their symbol...I wonder if there's any symbolism between the bent cross and the hockey stick.

The owners should declare all players in violate of contract and fire their rich asses, then hire within a salary cap.

Fuck the players.

I suggest you watch, if you haven't already, the press confrence on nhl.com. But I agree, the players are whinning to much.

Anyway, it's not surprising to see this symbol everywhere, since it has MANY meanings, but now, it's quite forbidden, in some places, to wear the swastika, even if you don't see it as a Nazi symbol.

I have read recently that that symbol is quite old and was used by some celtic tribes thousands of years ago, so it has nothing to do with nazis or mr.Adolf´s ideas... anyway it´s a shame that we all relate it to that damn poisoned ideology.
