Ancient Mariner
Has any of you forummers heard of this Norwegian guitar player? Eddies Wingman, I guess?
No metal, or hardrock, but imo really intruiging instrumental music. To be honest I haven't heard much of him yet. Last week I have bought this album (recorded in 1978)
Allmusic describes this record as "an otherworldly soundscape of aching beauty" and I can't disagree with that.
I just checked out this clip which shows his feel for melody. The music style is quite different from that album. Apparantly Terje Rypdal has had a long and versatile career so there's much to explore.
