Some classmates and I decided to make a school film, describing the life of a Greek 12th grade student. He's a very pessimistic character that's being pressured by his mom to become a doctor. But that's no what he wants. Also this year he's going to a new school where he meats Nick, the school's "freak"( because he listens to metal" ) and seeing that they have a lot in common they become friends. So now he's the second "freak" the school has. The kid's dream is to make a band. His mother won't accept it. So, the problems he has with some classmates that consider him a freak, the problems with his theology teacher ( that thinks his mission is to "protect" students from turning to black magic and reading the "satanic Harry Potter and of course metal!), his mom's pressure all lead him to being extremely pessimistic.
Nick though is very optimistic ( and heretical according to the theology teacher ) and tries to help the kid understand that life is good and worth fighting for. He also helps the kid make a band ( without his mother knowing it ). But one day after a fight between the kid and some of his classmates, he ends up with being punished by the school's headmaster. When he returns home his mother acts as if she doesn't care about her son, but for what others will say about his rudeness to the headmaster. Thinking that the world doesn't care for him he tries to comit suicide. Now, by some strange coincidense Nick visits him to his house, and prevents the massacre. He tells the kid that in your life you have to know what yoy want and do it no matter what difficulties there may be. So the kid quits school, makes his mother angry. Six years later he becomes a rock star.
So now you know what the film is about. I used Maiden songs for the film (and some Bruce stuff). Now when we showed the movie to the whole school, 2 teachers extremely religious found it was satanic! Why? Because as they said, metal is satanic, the story's moral is to leave your home and become a rock star, do whatever you want, and be rude to your parents! God how stupid can someone be! I suppose that the "life's beautiful" theme is satanic too, for that's what the film is all about and that when you want something heart and soul, then you can do it no matter what difficulties.
Jesus! :: I'm now the school's heretic according to them! I actually kinda like it. [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /] Now tell me your opinions on the matter, and whether you've had such an experience. Up the Irons!! Sorry for any mispelling. [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/happy.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"^_^\" border=\"0\" alt=\"happy.gif\" /]
