I saw this record at a fair yesterday. It was released in 1978 (and no, I didn't buy it).

Discuss.

I was wondering whether the "Gordon Giltrap" logo was made in a "maidenesque" way just for an eventual reissue of that album...well, the answer is no, it was already in the original '78 version  :o
Funny, to say the least  -_-

A small update:
From Nicko's diary (04/12/2003):
"We mat with our friend Dec, and his family and went to a room to meet some more friends. Andrew and Melodie Sachs were there and we had chat and a wee libation before dinner. Just as we were called too take our seats I spotted a dear old chum over in the corner of the room. It was Gordon Giltrap. I made a record with him 31 years ago. We were reminiscing of our time together. It was a real treat to see him again."

The font was used in 1976 for the film "The Man Who Fell to Earth".  It is likely that Mr Giltrap stole the font.

As for the name of the album, I would say it is simply coincidence.

I don't think either the font or the name had anything to do with Maiden or vice-versa.

I think it's all a coincidence too, Conor, but I still thought this was interesting. As for what Abandon posted, that makes it all even more interesting ;)
