Some lyrics

I'm not gonna tell you how, when and why, but I wrote some lyrics, which relate to each other and go in the order I posted them, and wanted to share them with you. Let's see how you like and interpret them.


"The Devils Lair"

Hell is sleeping beeneath us
The land is dark and full of ghostly mist
Tonight the curse will be broken
The power of the demons spellbound in our fire

Flock of death birds in the air
Fear evoking thunder everywhere
To make sure satan has no heir
Tonight we'll raid the devils lair

Children of the untold
Damned souls of the night
Watch the terror unfold
For you've neglected light

Black clouds move before the light of the golden moon
Pray to God for you are going to meet him very soon
Nightmares in the dark sky, no stars protect you
anymore
Shadows of a new age to free you of the old

"Fire Of Justice"

The battle birds roar through the sky
Challenging our lives with fury
Into the heavens they climb high
And I know I fulfil my duty

Everywhere the world is bleeding
The birds spit out their deadly gold
We know where the evil's breeding
In the death birds powers behold

Without terror there's no peace
We want tragedy to cease
In this world there is no hope
And it is with the pain we cope

Fire of justice
Harvest of ashes
Fire of justice
They don't understand

It's in God's command

All the horror's coming home
The crops they've sown are growing high
All the daggers they have thrown
Are now coming from the sky

It is wrong to even try
The smoke climbs up into the sky
As back to our homes we fly

I think I hear the screams down there
It's too much for my mind to bear
It was just too much to dare
Here inside the devils lair

As I fly over the town
I wish that I would be shot down
Fall down to the burning ground
My body never to be found

There is so much madness here
Maybe I just can't think clear
The flames now start to disappear
I just want to get out of here

A thousand years
Should justify
A thousand tears
Falling from the sky
A thousand stars
Look down upon us
A thousand wars
Could end with the bloodlust
Of one night
It could be right

It's between two realities
The truth that I can't find in me
Look at all this misery
There is just too much to see

I think we did it for the good
But will it be understood
In the end will there be brotherhood
Or will we be nailed to the wood

Very.... creepy Perun.. j/k Good Job dude, not sure if you want to post them where people can steal them and you'll find out when you listen to them on the radio....
 
I'm not good enough in English to say if it's good or not. But I feel like you wrote about WW2 ( bombing Berlin, bombing Hiroshima, stuffs like that)

If I had to place money on it, I'd say these have a WWII theme.
Without going into details, here's what I got from them:

The first, "the Devils Lair" could be interpreted as an Allied raid on a German city.

"Fire of Justice" could be interpreted as being from the prespective of a German who resistedd the Nazis.

"Means and Ends" appears to be about someone committing a war crime. The lines about "a thousand years" are reminiscent of Hitler's promise of a "thousand year Reich"


Good writing man! Especially considering English isn't your first language! Keep it up!
 
syl and Duke, you're close with your ideas, it is about Allied bombings in WW2, but Dukes interpretation is a bit off.

Onhell, I did take that into consideration, but given the fact that these words are protected by German copyright laws, I'm not that worried.
