Solitude Aeturnus - Days Of Prayer from their 5th album Adagio (1998)

The YouTube user also uploaded the album intro (which is a separate track on the album) but this topic is about Days Of Prayer only. So people can skip the first 48 seconds if they like.  :)

Solitude Aeturnus is a doom band from the US and I picked this song because I thought the solos in particular might appeal. For the rest: I think the band has one of the stronger vocalists (great range!) in our beloved genre of metal, and the riffs kick ass as well.  So start banging already, and play it at 10. :shred:

Fantastic song. Very Sabbatish, great riffs, great vocals. I just checked, and this guy also sings in Candlemass now (which is splitting up after their next album :o).

Saw that one. They also covered the best song ever... gonna listen to some of their albums later :D
Btw. the next poster opens the next thread :D

Not love at first hear, but I do like this one.
Good heavy riffs, nice instrumental section and the dude can sing, just as you guys point out.
I guess I'd say it's exactly the type of music I like, just not a knock-my-socks-off composition.
I like the Sabbath cover and I'd like to hear more from these guys.

I've never heard of these guys before, but what a great name for a band. At first listen, I like the drums and guitars, but I would hesitate at saying the vocals are some of the strongest in the metal genre. I don't dislike the singer's stylings, but certainly can't join you guys in the accolades. A pretty good tune, though... 7.
