Should Iron Maiden sell on-demand CDs of their live shows?

The title of the thread says it all! Should Iron Maiden provide the opportunity to buy copies of each of their shows after these have taken place?

I personally think it is a good idea, as you can get a memento of the gig(s) you attended and relive the shows from the comfort of your own home.

I went to see Status Quo on the first Frantic Four reunion tour at London Hammersmith Odeon and bought the official CD with a recording of the show. It is a bit rough in places, but that is the point of live music, isn't it?

I have also ordered the CDs from Metallica's two shows at London Stadium in July 2026. I cannot wait to get them!

For what is worth, this was discussed years ago on the official Iron Maiden Fan Club forum and some people adjacent to the band mentioned that this would never happen as a result of Steve's perfectionism and him wanting each live release to be a superbly sounding one... (I am not kidding! ).

A Real Live One, A Real Dead One, and Live at Donington suggest that without Tony Newton he was not able to get good results either!

Yes for sure, i would love the shows i`ve attended in particular.

It is a bit rough in places, but that is the point of live music, isn't it?

Agreed! There are some tours where I would have bought a copy of each show I went to (e.g., the 4 SBIT tour shows, both AMOLAD shows in London), and some others where one would be enough (e.g., TFF 2011 UK tour - with hindsight 5 shows on that tour were too many!).

I like the idea of it, and hey, if 30,000 people show up to your concert, there's potentially 30K customers who might want that as a keepsake. Buy your ticket, maybe it comes packaged with a Keepsake CD fee, and you enter your mailing information/email for digital buyers.

Or, I'd be cool with a more KISS-like "From the Soundboard" thing which is more selective of the shows released, and let's be real--probably our only shot at any kind of a Blaze live show released. That said, I prefer my Maiden live stuff more fully produced and packaged (well, the packaging is still good, at least), so I'm still holding out hope more are coming after the upcoming RFYL one and post-retirement.

Honestly I'd happily pay for a basic soundboard recording from any show I attended. Pooch is good enough that what comes off his desk will likely be very well balanced right of the bat.
