RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

The only slight disappointment, unfortunately, was the sound. I was standing all the way in the back near the stands, which I understand is probably not the best spot for ideal sound quality. However, I’ve never encountered this particular issue at a concert before. During some songs, it felt like someone was turning a knob for volume and sound effects back and forth. At times the sound was sharp and clear, other times muffled. Sometimes everything was loud, and other times quite weak. Unfortunately, I didn’t record any video, but if anyone filmed from the back or the stands, it might be audible somewhere.
This is just the norm at outdoor shows the further back you go, especially if there's a wind. Sound waves bouncing and being blown around. It's pretty much what every festival sounds like.

I’d be very surprised if Maiden are not one of the headliners of Download Festival in 2026.
I don't think they will, at that point they would have to squeeze in Australia, NZ, Asia, Extensive US, Canada, Mexico run and South America in all after June which won't happen, stacking that many dates in a year covering the entire world is long over for them

What about Balkan region? They used to be there regularly...
it can't be ruled out there might be a few European shows next year before they head to Asia / Australia like they have before, if that happens it will be a very select few tho. But with there regular tour pattern these days I don't expect it.

Well, the opening rolls for Murders sounded more consistent, still sounds like Simon's exit point to the straight hits on the snare is still early though.
At this point I think it's just the way he plays it, his style, like Nicko with Clive's songs. He plays most of the fills differently than Nicko, and while he doesn't have his swing(no), the songs are all effective (Trooper, Clairvoyant, Powerslave, Seventh Son...) and very solid. Clive's playing is tricky, but he puts hits own style very well on them. Hallowed is close to the original, the opening 4 songs are great for him.

I think Simon is doing an amazing job. That said, the only song that I feel like it didn't reach Nicko's performance was Powerslave. Others sound great.

I noticed now that the Trooper backdrop on the screen has the clip on both sides, like during TFP tour. Niice.

edit: I just love how the stage looks during Powerslave, Murders and Wasted. I want a concert video, this show deserves it. And is it just me, or the drum kit has some additional lights?

Oh, I haven't even noticed anything off with Powerslave and think he's doing a thoroughly solid job so far. I guess you're perhaps right on this just being his way of doing the Murders intro as the rest of the band and the pyro haven't had much of an issue getting in right on the beat. (Unless they've all got in-ears now? Naaaaaah, this band?)

Powerslave is missing Nicko's swing IMO.
