R.I.P. Mav

.:The Final Frontier:.
I don't know if this is the right section of the forum to post such news, but I just learned from a Facebook post about the passing of Guy Marais, whom many of you surely knew years ago on this forum as Maverick, and instantly associate with the Iron Maiden Commentary website. Personally, I remember him as a very kind and friendly person, and although I hadn't been in touch with him for years, I was very saddened to hear that he is no longer with us. Rest in peace, Mav.

I wish I could have told this guy his importance to my life and childhood. Never even interacted with him but so sad. RIP

Good to hear these words.
Today it was a different day for me. I reflected a lot about life and all. I went for a run and thought to print his photo and put it in the wall somewhere to remember tomorrow the futility of life and seize my days.

I would like to have meet him. About the time this Forum changed ownership I lost him for good; he had a much better job in terms of salary which I imagine took much of his time and energy and eventually changed his lifestyle.
Add that he transferred his activity to fb and that was the end, as I would never open an account there.
