QUEENSRYCHE TO EMBARK ON HEADLINING U.S. TOUR IN SEPTEMBER 2003
TO PROMOTE THE NEW STUDIO ALBUM 'TRIBE' ON SANCTUARY RECORDS

The progressive hard rock band Queensryche will begin a headlining U.S. tour in September 2003 to continue promoting its new studio album 'Tribe' on Sanctuary Records. This latest trek follows on the heels of the highly successful recent tour with Dream Theater and Fates Warning.

Vocalist Geoff Tate, guitarist Michael Wilton, bassist/vocalist Eddie Jackson, drummer/percussionist Scott Rockenfield, along with guitarist Mike Stone, will undertake an extensive run of shows starting on the West Coast and ending in the East.

'Tribe' is Queensryche's ninth studio album and it marked the writing and recording return of guitarist Chris DeGarmo, who left the band in 1997. Stone also performs on 'Tribe,' an album with a rich vein of sounds in songs that take an unblinking, critical look at America and the state of the post-September 11 world.

Queensryche formed in Bellevue, WA, in 1982 and the band created its own unique brand of intellectually stimulating, thoughtful music with studio albums like 'Queensryche,' 'The Warning,' 'Rage For Order,' 'Operation: Mindcrime,' 'Empire,' 'Promised Land,' 'Hear in the Now Frontier' and 'Q2K' and the double live 'Live Evolution.' Critics especially heaped praise on the concept album 'Operation: Mindcrime,' 'Empire' and its beautiful smash hit single "Silent Lucidity" and the challenging 'Promised Land.'

Queensryche's influence in the world of hard rock has been considerable, and 'Tribe' is another standout contribution to the band's legacy.
