Free Man
yesterday one could smell the burn all around the center.
the story:
two policemen insult some anarchists, the later attack policemen
scared policeman shoot for intimidation -directly to the heart of a 16 years old

the country is on fire since then

WARNING : sorry about the language in this post, but I'm completely crazy with that story

5th day with Greece on fire and the "policeman" defended himself without even asking sorry to the family of the 15 (in deed) years old

his words inside quote box, my comments below

«the deceased and his friends, before coming to participate in this crowd -which was gathering and attacking, as usual every Saturday at the offices of PASOK (--->political party), had gone to the swimming pool close Halandri, and were involved in incidents that have occurred, leading to the injury of civilians and the Olympic coach, with the throwing objects and the use of iron brackets »

how does he know all that ?? how did he know about it that time ??
... and second what's the fucking connection with the story??
fucking pig

He even adds that in pleading:

«We have learned that these students, while residing in P. Psychiko (--->area of wealthy people),
tend to be frequented Exarhia (---->area of leftish /anarchist people, but also a tready area to drink a coffee)
as a place of amusement, but also at various stadiums where cause episodes, do not show the expected behavior and personality 15 years old teenager »

fuck you "officer", yes he was going to drink his coffee in Exarchia, and so ?? that's why you shot him ?? and why the fuck you shot at three kids anyway ?? why the fuck to raise your gun against 3 kids bastard ??

Adds:

«The deceased had been expelled from school Moraitis (--->private school for wealthy people) and often change schools, which reflects a deviant behavior»

this is a complete lie which was disprooved officially from subject school

FACTS :
1) the policeman had taken orders to leave the place and leave the kids alone -he disobeyed, returned there and shoot three times
2) he fucking left the place WALKING when he shot the kid down
3) he don't really apologize for what he did, he tries to blacken the dead kid -he is enough chicken to choose this kind of practice
4) in his first appologize he told that he shot 2 times in the air and the third on the ground -after the results of ballistic survey of the bullet he change it to 3 times in the air

No prob, as long as you stop calling me romantic, or whatever, when I am angry about something that happens in the world.

I believe that we are both romantic, without that being something bad -the opposite if you ask me
once I called you romantic with a taste of irony, I remember this
....but even that time I was admiring you the irony was to wake you up

there are things that they are beyond us -that's what I wanted to say

I thought of you as I was posting before a while, don't worry everything comes from a good heart
you know it don't you ?  :)

Bad police behavior becomes an issue all over the world. I wonder the reasons. I think every country has its own reasons depending on culture, but the result seem to be common.

I sure do, this was a while back though... a year or so? I believe that "rebellion" is still going on too

...how this ties together with the shooting I'm not sure, it seems more opportunistic than anything else.

generally big strikes are prepared from before ; with several administative steps, this one could be prepared one month or so before,
and shooting took place one Saturday.
so it was clear coincidence to have this strike in the middle of riots

otherwise, several shooting to kill teenagers /young people (definately not criminals) have taken place in Greece last 20 years (always with the boulet change its trajectory or gun shot by "accident") and all the times policemen took 6 months of prison or so

but never in 20 years we had riots this big.... why ? because now people seems to be more fed up than ever
due to economic policy and corruption as well

Wait a minute, no5, are you claiming that the policeman just randomly shot some kid that was walking out of a café for the fun of it?

read my first post Perun : http://forum.maidenfans.com/http://foru ... 45#p207345

as a supplement :

-the 2 policeman insults the kids (a common practice in the area of Exarchia) the kids insults them back and throw them plastic bottles
at that time, the policemen are in their car

-the policemen ask authorisation from head office to send some men to help them arrest the kids

-head office denies and tell them to leave the area

-the two policemen park their car somewhere and return to the place where the kids were

-then each party starts to insult the other

-the first policeman throws a noise-smoke bomb to let them go, they don't leave

-the second policeman shoots 3 times -one of the kids felt down

-the policemen turn their back and leave the place walking

----
so to resume : the kids had insult them and threw some plastic bottles before
policemen they had clear orders to leave the place ; they returned instead. they were not in danger

you can read this too .......not a regret for what he did, just an attempt to blacken the 15 years old boy

Officer says he fired in self defense, paints picture of youth as troublemaker

The 37-year-old police officer charged with the murder on Saturday of 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos yesterday told an investigating magistrate that he had fired his gun into the air in self-defense as his lawyer claimed that a coroner’s report shows the boy was killed by a ricocheting bullet.

In a written statement, special guard Epaminondas Korkoneas said he fired his gun into the air “two or three times” while he and a fellow officer had been under attack by some 30 youths in the central Athens district of Exarchia. He added that the youths had been pelting them with stones, bottles and other items and shouting, “Cops, bums, we’re going to burn you alive.” In his statement, the officer does not express any regret for his actions.

He adds that the 15-year-old had been thrown out of the prestigious Moraitis School and had been involved in sport-related violence. A spokesperson for Moraitis telephoned Mega Channel to refute these claims.

The officer’s lawyer, Alexis Kougias, spoke of “one big misunderstanding.” He cited a coroner’s report as saying that the youth’s wound showed the bullet had entered his body at an angle and could not have been a direct shot. He added that a ballistics report showed the bullet bore a mark indicating that it had hit something before striking the youth. The contents of the reports had not been made public by late yesterday.

NOTE : no-one of the attending withnesses (simple citizens of the cafés around did say that the policemen were in danger) also no-one spoke about 30 kids but around 6 the most

one friend told me yesterday that only 3 or 4 days before the killing of the boy,
police had killed an immigrant. (coming from a country like Iraq, Afganistan or something)

NOBODY EVER LEARNED A THING ABOUT IT
no tv, no papers
not even after the killing of the boy

*she learned that while going to a free party in an abandoned factory building ;
not far from there few hundreds of immigrants were protesting peacefully

this is too sad I find  :(

thanks POM excellent photos !!

RIOTS UPDATE : another 16-years old was shoot (at his hand this time)

the facts :

1. the shooter is "unknown", and shot from a white Citroen Xaara and with a 38mm
2. the kid is the son of a famous Greek syndicaliste and member of the Communist party
3. the boulet was hand made
4. both Citren Xaara (especially in white colour) and the 38 Smith Wason were used by the cover police of the country (policemen dressed like citizens) some years ago

I believe that these facts show that extreme right is involed in the most optimist of cases
in worst, that police might be involved, and this would be more than a shame for an EU country

here two photos that show in what level police has lost control

an old lady walks peacefully in front of special forces

the response of the special forces is immediate...

since school holidays, the situation on the streets seems more calm : no protestations, no fire, the circulation is normal...
yet things gone wild in a dark and scary way

1) police vehicule has been shot at the wheels
2) vagon train shot no hurts among passengers
3) bus (in Athens) has been shot -no hurts among passengers
4) bus (in Thessaloniki) has been shot -no hurts among passengers
5) one minister's car (in Ioannina) has been burnt
6) the car of a retired policeman (in Patra) who was *hiding* (protection for his personal data)
(he had killed a young boy 20 years ago and been found not guilty) has been found and burnt as well

and yesterday the worst of all : 3 policemen have been attacked with kalasnikof !!
-one of them heavy wounded

these are symptoms of a generalized war of streets in its start

-----
with the spark of riots I was hoping that now at last there will be more control
of corrupted and psychologically sick policemen -who would be punished exemplarily
for shooting without reason : 20 deaths of young people in 20 years, 19 NOT guilty,
one of them took 6 months of prison
the other 19 they continued to work as policemen like nothing happened
MY FEAR :

there is danger that these latest blind shootings to turn things to an opposite direction :
more violence, more shootings

as a conclusion I would say that the state has an enormous work to do to reform the police.
Educate your corps, PUNISH them when they shoot for fun, don't COVER them
this, along with indigence, and various economical scandals only makes anger grow
and anger becomes blind violence

Athens is one of the less dangerous European cities normally
so it's certenly not the fault of its people

I remember three years ago Paris was burnt : why ?? cause some policemen run after 3 guys
the kids went to hide in an electric station, and died from shock
RUN AFTER, they didn't even shot at them !! and still Paris was burnt
I don't want to thing what would have happened if they had their guns fired
but they wouldn't.
Cause in France, dispite its bad, there are laws which apply pretty much to everyone

back to Greece : for the trial of the shooter-policeman everything turns around is he fired straight to the boy or not
WRONG! why he did fired at the first place ?? why he even touched his gun against three 15-years old kids
without being in danger ??
that should be the point, not if he fired lightly at left or steaight ahead
