Since plagiarism is currently the hot topic, I thought I'd share this surprisingly interesting, insightful and well-written blog on plagiarism in metal album covers:

I'm sure the guy would appreciate it if you pointed something out to him that you know. I already pointed out the Virus/This Godless Endeavor case to him, and I'd be interested to see what he concludes from it.

If anything, I'm kinda surprised Beksiński isn't being plagiarised more in heavy metal art.
 
Very interesting read indeed! Not sure if this particular case qualifies for plagiarism (I don't think so), but I've already read about alleged similarities between the covers of Powerslave and Earth, Wind & Fire's All 'n All. What do you think?
 
Some of those, arguably, are 'inspired by', or 'reworked', although that's a better argument if the original piece is famous (eg ripping off the Mona Lisa).
