OVERKILL ANNOUNCES FIRST DATES IN SUPPORT OF ‘KILLBOX 13’
For Immediate Release: July 1, 2003
New Jersey thrash metal legends Overkill have lined up a handful of regional dates following performances at several esteemed European festivals this month.
Overkill is supporting its latest album, “Killbox 13,” the 13th studio effort from the long-standing band. These shows will be among the first the group is playing since the release of “Killbox 13” in March.
A full U.S. tour is in the works for September, as well as more Europe dates and a South American tour.
Overkill can truly be called one of the pioneers of thrash and has been noted for its commitment to staying true to its distinct, uncompromising sound. Through the course of two decades, Overkill has earned critical acclaim around the world.
The band celebrated its 20th anniversary last year with a sold-out home-state show that yielded the “Wrecking Everything - Live” CD and DVD.
“Overkill remain the most respectable band in music and have come out with a
gem. Finally the term ‘veteran band’ can be used to describe a seasoned band that can act as a role model rather than one that is irrelevant and out of touch.” – MetalJudgment.com
“…’Killbox 13’ will go down in history as being the best representation of material in this band’s career.” – Unrestrained!
“From start to finish, ‘Killbox 13’ is bursting at the seams with thrashy riffs, gut-wrenching attitude and all out metal spirit. Once again, Overkill delivers in vicious, blood-soaked spades!” – DigitalMetal.com
