O.J. Simpson found Guilty

On Friday October 3rd, Orenthal James Simpson was found guilt of all 12 counts held against him ina2007 hotel robbery. This verdict comes 13 years to the day, that he was acquitted of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
The most serious charge he was convicted on was two kidnapping charges and faces up to two consecutive life sentences. 
 
This case isn't very interesting to me yet - I'm waiting for the sentencing. Life in prison may be possible, but I don't know if it will happen. I have no idea what judges actually deal out for kidnapping these days. Still, given that kidnapping is a serious crime, I'd expect at least 10 years.

And how did Nigel's rating get down to -9? He's a good guy. Time for some moderator rating cheating!
 
True dat. On SNL's Weekend Update Seth Mayer said, "O.J Simpson was found guilty of...murder." oh well, I found it funny :)

Easy it was -10 and i praised him once so that makes it -9. The new one looks better though, Yay to moderator cheating!
 
Thanks guys for caring so much about my rating :bigsmile: I used to be like a -13, it was my lack of spacing used during punctuations during my newbie phase. Anyway O.J. is going to get at least 15 years and will have to serve 10. I've had mixed feelings about the guy. He used to be a hero of mine ( all of those Hertz commercials with him flying through the airport). During his double murder trial I thought the prosecution failed to make their case and thus the verdict of not guilty was just. But during the civil trial for wrongful death I was swayed by the famous Bruno Magli shoe print. I found myself thinking that it was very likely that he commited the murders. The trial for roberry and kidnapping, I fell that he should have forsaken his material possessions and just enjoyed his freedom.
I mean by all rights he should be forking over everything he has to the Goldman and Brown families.  I just think it is sad how much of a joke that he has become. I'll put it this way for the young kids, substitute The Rock for O.J. It is sad to see our hero's faults and when they falter.
 
Faults are one thing, killing and stealing are another. I just remember him from the Naked Gun movies :D
 
I never understood the big deal about the OJ murders. He only did the same thing he did all those years in the NFL - make a cut, and run.

LMAO....He couldn't have committed the murders anyway seeing how he played for the Buffalo Bills. Nicole and Ron were cut with a knife and we all know the Bill are only capable of choking.
