From the '88 sessions. It would have been a nice/setting the mood ballad-y piece (and for that era) - instead of trying to write a longer ''Defenders Of The Faith'' in the form of ''Monsters Of Rock'' for example (or the cover, ofc). Love the acoustic string and the great classic harmonies(!).
Now I’m listening to the opening track “The Gates of Delirium” by Yes, and around the 8:50 - 10:20 mark my mind goes: "I can hear a distant proto-version of the coda from “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” title track. There’s definitely something similar there, or at least in the same vein.
