Like I posted in the General Discussion of the Commentary:
[!--QuoteBegin--][div class=\'quotetop\']QUOTE[/div][div class=\'quotemain\'][!--QuoteEBegin--]I think it'll look somewhat like this:
Phantom of the Opera (Please guys!)
Sanctuary
Iron Maiden
Wrathchild
Murders in the Rue Morgue
Killers
Children of the Damned
The Prisoner
22 Acacia Avenue
The Number of the Beast
Run To The Hills
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Revelations
The Flight of Icarus
The Trooper
Looks about right with 15 songs. However, I would personally very much appreciate it if they'd ditch some 'classics' that we already have millions of live records of anyway, like Wrathchild, Iron Maiden, The Number of the Beast, Run To The Hills, Hallowed and The Trooper and since The Early Days also Children of the Damned, 22 Acacia, The Prisoner... etc, and replace them with some more obscure songs. Imagine some of these replacing a song like Run To The Hills:
Remember Tomorrow (Oh! Yes! YES!!!)
Running Free (YEAH!)
Prowler (This song just rocks)
Strange World (really wishful, but if they do play it I'm gonna have an orgasm in public, it's beautiful and not something Maiden would usually do, therefore it deserves to be played live once more)
Drifter (we can always hope, right? Would make a GREAT closing)
Prodigal Son (see Strange World)
Purgatory (Gotta love it)
Invaders
Gangland (where the jailbirds die!)
Total Eclipse (this is so underrated... it needs to be played live even though we just got a recording of it with The Early Days)
Where Eagles Dare (would make a great opening, let's see if Nicko can still pull off the drum solo! [!--emo&:lmao:--]/lol.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'lol.gif\' /][!--endemo--] )
Die With Your Boots On (I love this one, it's really good, and the only live recording of it is Live After Death)
Still Life (We'll give you piece of mind! [!--emo&:lmao:--]/lol.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'lol.gif\' /][!--endemo--] Come on, this is practically the title to PoM, and it's wonderful, so why not?)
Sun And Steel (Am I the only one who likes this one? It happens to be one of the first songs I heard so it's always stuck with me)
To Tame A Land (Please, just one more Harris-penned epic...)
That would be 16 songs. Hell, let's go crazy; if the above were to actually be the set list, I would go totally f'kin crazy. So many songs that have hardly ever been heard live, it would rock so much! Hell, I would go to a gig just to hear "We'll give you piece of mind! Nyahahahaha!" live. What do you think of this, a completely alternative setlist? It would probably receive lots of flak from fans who want to hear Run To The Hills one more time, but still, I would love it. And if some newer songs would have to be included... some more alternative stuff from Somewhere In Time would rule, especially Sea Of Madness and Alexander The Great(we can always hope).
But now that you guys mention it, I'd also love to hear Burning Ambition live... hell, let's go further and add "I've Got The Fire" as well! [!--emo&--]/headbang.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'headbang.gif\' /][!--endemo--] By the way, the setlist I'm anticipating isn't in the right order of course, I think they'll start with The Ides, or perhaps something like Sanctuary, or Prowler or Eagles perhaps.
