This thread is dedicated to the new upcoming movies. Feel free to post trailers and stories about them.

The first one is a new movie with Jennifer Lopez, called 'Atlas'. It's a classic sci-fi film about space and the preservation of Mankind. I saw the first trailer but I'm not convinced about the quality of this one. What's your opinion ?

Official synopsis :

"Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it."

New Alien, 'Alien Romulus' is on the way and will be out in US theaters on 16th of August and in France on 14th of August. The new movie seems to be the interquel of the movies Alien and Aliens with Sigourney Weaver. And is very interesting because it's respecting the 1st two movies of the Alien saga with its coldness, darkness and suspense. I can't wait to be in August. :)

I saw this trailer some months ago and I don't know if it's a link between the Alien Covenant and Alien (with Sigourney Weaver) or it's about of a different project (kind of new trilogy or series) about Alien saga produced by Ridley Scott.

Anyway I think the main characters are teenagers as the new Mad Max movie and Dune (maybe oriented to the young people) and I can understand that from the point of view of the companies but I can't stand it.

Well, some french movies specialists on YouTube say that it's an interquel between Alien and Aliens. The characters, for most of them, are young people between 20 and 25 years old that will fight against xenomorphs. These specialists also say that they will stay prudent as the movie has been directed by Fede Alvarez who also directed the new version of Evil Dead and two other horror (Don't Breathe) or thriller (The Girl In The Spider's Web) movies, this director is still a newbie in the genre and is not a new James Cameron, a new Ridley Scott or a new Steven Spielberg. We'll see how the movie will be and if it will be successful. :ninja:

And I agree with you with the fact that putting only young people in movies is really weird. :rolleyes:
