It says right in the name that he is trying to recapture an old successful sound/album. This is the type of thing that gives you albums such as these:

Sting In The Tail

All albums that were mediocre to awful.

Sting In The Tail is an amazing Scorps album! At least they stayed true to their sound and style. Especially after Eye 2 Eye which sucked beyond anything. And compared to what Queensryche's done lately, it's a masterpiece.

Didn't hear Sting In The Tail, but I'm sure that it's better than anything Queensryche recorded after Hear In The Now Frontier.

Kiss and Scorpions. Sonic Boom was really bad. Sting In The Tail was just meh the whole time. They were trying too hard to be an old band after having an evolved sound over the years.
