MySpace spaces for big corporations & musicians.

Albie

Keeping an open eye on the Weeping Angels.
I read an article today referring to Myspace and how some big corporations and musicians are, shall we say, represented! Basically, this article was based more towards businesses and how their name is used on this site, but it would apply to corporations and musicians alike.

As an example, IBM, the company that set the architectural standard for the PC, is on MySpace and its likes/pastimes listed as:
"Computers, Games, Partying, Drinking, Poker, and Texas Hold'em".

It does not take a genius to understand that this is not of IBM's doing, but some person out there with a rather good sense of humour (either that or they bear some sort of grudge with the computer giants). Now, I fail to see that the likes of IBM would be worried or its name tarnished because of this "misuse" of its name, but if it's up for grabs - then it's useable on MySpace.

But then again, it could be made to look official like the MicroSoft MySpace seemingly is, but MicroSoft's "friends" are:
"Captain Nemo", "who I am hates who I’ve been" and "Alienfistgod54".

The author does not confirm if it is an official MicroSoft space or not, but only states it looks official.

However, I can see some bands who have not registered a MySpace account been snapped up, if not already done, and used as a rumour spreading vehicle. Because, let's face it, there will be enough MySpace users who may well be gullible enough to believe it.

Good reading Albie but to be honest, I don't give a shit about myspace.  It is one of the worst websites going at the moment.  A trendy pasttime for kids, not much more IMO.

I've made a mental note to try and avoid clicking on MySpace sites. But I had a butchers at the the founders site, Tom, and even that was a mess.

MySpace must be destroyed.

First one to drop a Mentos into a bottle of Diet Coke and point it into their servers gets a cookie.
