Personally I think No Prayer for the Dying. Other than Holy Smoke and Mother Russia, I think it's all a bit bad.. well, worse than usual, anyway.

I thought VXI, because X Factor was so good. I was really hoping VXI would be a big step forward for Maiden, and for the most part I think it wasn't.

I cant believe X-Factor has got 2 votes. I thought XF was awesome.

No prayer for the dyng it just lacked nothing really stood out apart from

running silent running deep
Mother Russia

I still think its the Album that started that little rot for Maiden...

The X Factor and Virtual XI are the worst for me.
And then, like almost all of you, I got dissapointed with no prayer...

Oh yeah, I forgot, Run Silent Run Deep was a very good track. But that still means good tracks are a minority, which is verry rare for Maiden. Usually, there's only one or, at most, 2 bad tracks, if there's any at all.

I won't post in this because of the way I experienced Maiden. I heard a few scattered songs first and then got Powerslave and Best of the Beast pretty much simultaniously. So I really got the best of all the albums at the same time. I don't know how you can pick "most disappointing" from that.

I do know that I think some albums aren't as good as others. No Prayer For the Dying, Fear of the Dark, and Virtual XI all come to mind. Of course, all those albums have hugely amazing songs that are among my favourites (Bring Your Daughter..., Fear of the Dark, and The Clansman). I think those are the ones I'd find pretty disappointing.

i think peice of mind bcuz its not the greatest but it is still good but u know what im tryin to say.

Ahh, Killers wasn't too bad. Good follow-up to Iron Maiden, I reckon.

I think it was pretty boring with a few good songs.

I used to think so, too. I felt that way for many years. But in the last year or so this album has really been growing on me. It's still no Piece Of Mind, but it's pretty damn good.

what? I think "no prayer for the dying" album rocked :|
maybe because it was my first album.. dont know..
I still love it.
But the x-factor and virtual xi sucked big time :/
im not a big fan of the newest album either.. but its ok
got a few good songs [!--emo&:)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

well..
i just dont like blaze at all :\
there's just something about him that i do not like :|
the clansman and sign of the cross is good when bruce sings them in rock in rio...

the songs on DoD is kind of monotonous(according to my dictionary.. my english isnt very good [!--emo&:(--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/sad.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'sad.gif\' /][!--endemo--]) and .. uhm.. soulless? i dont know quite..
i like "new frontier" and "pachendale" very much.. and the others are ok!
but its not the best i've heard of iron maiden

Well, I was introduced to Iron Maiden on some Blaze, The Clansman to be specific. It's okay to not like him. It just really gets on my nerves when you get people going "Fuck Blaze!" for no real reason.

I must admit I felt the opposite for DoD. If anything I thought Brave New World was a bit flat, but now I attribute that to the band still being maybe a bit uneasy after getting back together. I think most of the songs have a lot of power. But you're right, Paschendale is amazing...it's my favourite song by Maiden since Powerslave.
