THE HEAVILS revamp website!!!
If you have not had a chance to check out The Heavils newly revamped site
you are missing out! This unique group of musicians are known for creating
and making their own instruments, and yes they actually work and sound good
too. Not only are these guitars totally original and unique they only have
5-strings, are fretless, and are part guitar part bass. The band has already
established themselves as being an original hard-hitting band and now people
are starting to take notice to Brian Carter's Frankenstein creations. Brian
has built about 10 instruments this year using toilet seats, PVC tubes, and
out of wood and now you can play one of these guitars on the bands site. To
do this go to the main page of the site and scroll down till you see a
picture of one of the bands \"meanies\" that says play a meanies, click here.
If you want to check out the \"meanies\" (guitars) go to the main page of the
site and then click on the third link over on the top that says \"meanies\"
and it will take you to the page where all their guitars are displayed and
explained. This band is doing something that not many have done before and
the fact that they created, built, and use these guitars is amazing and
deserves recognition. The band has already been featured in a recent issue
Guitar World that was passed out all over the NAMM show held in Anaheim, CA
and were just recently sponsored by Jagermeister. The guys have been opening
up for bands like OTEP and are scheduled to open for Hot Water Music,
Saliva, hed (PE), Steromud, and Systematic. Keep your eyes on this band
because they are sure to be a huge hit!

ARMORED SAINT will release a special three-disc edition of their classic
album, \"Symbol of Salvation\", complete with special Digi-box packaging.
The set, due out on April 8th through Metal Blade Records, will include the
following:
Disc 1: The original record (re-mastered) plus Mpeg video files of the two
accompanying videos \"Reign of Fire\" and \"Last Train Home\".
Disc 2: The much-sought-after four-track demos of the entire record in
sequence, featuring original guitar work by Dave Prichard - and bonus track
interview. This is part one of a 90-minute interview conducted by Metal
Blade CEO Brian Slagel, with the band discussing the making of \"Symbol Of
Salvation\". The interview was recorded in December 2002.
Disc 3: Part two and conclusion of interview.
The packaging will include a revised version of the cover art, liner notes
by rock journalist Jon Sutherland and additional band photos.

\"Hi Everyone. Got the day off in Columbus, OH. Watching the snow fall. Seems
like the snow is following us.
We have been very surprised to have so many new people coming to our shows!
Every night I get comments from a lot of kids that they came cause of the
opening slots we played this last year. We plan on doing more opening slots
in the future. We love opening cause it has proven to help getting new fans
and trying to win over a hostile audience. Its exhilarating and humbling all
in one. The prompters are happy cause the people are coming in spite of the
bad weather. Hats off to the ones who came to Poughkeepsie, NY and stood in
a club with no heat and it was 2 degrees outside. I didn't even sweat on
stage that night.
Cleveland was small attendance but it was a young crowd and looked like a
lot of newbies. I got more a little more than tipsy that night. Oh well!!!!
The new bees don't seem as excited as the older KX fans, they are probably
young musicians just checking it out and don't know the music. I know I look
like a zombie when I go to shows. To busy listening. But they stay...They go
on line and get all the KX they can find I have been told after the shows.
Yeah!! Its all good...
We have been talking about recording Static live from all the positive
response from fans. In fact at the Dio show a friend of mine told me there
was a young girl there with a Dio t-shirt on who after hearing us play
Static, she asked who we were and the name of the Cd it was on.
The new CD will have a lot of stuff to check out on your computer. Lots of
cool stuff and extra special video clips, lots of pics and stuff. About time
huh?!!
Hate mail from Zug fans.!???.. They are just kids doing what kids do. The
lead singer from Zug told their fans to respect us from the stage. That was
cool of him. They are real big fans of KX. I have had a lot of chats with
them. Good kids with a lot of heart. Some of the Zug fans are coming
around... I have met some after the show who liked us a lot. Thanks for
sticking up for me people! You guys rule!!!!!!
NYC!!!!! I lost my voice after 4 songs. It just went out! The next day it
was fine.... It's happened every few years since I was 20...Thanks NYC for
being so forgiving!!!

THE CROWN update from Marko...
Let me first start by telling you that the 2 Italian shows we did were
fucking excellent. Very cool. A big Grazie to the bands and fans we met.
But the Slovenian experience was a big fucking mess. Here's the story:
We came to the border and were denied getting into the country. The reason
was that we didn't have documents from the Swedish and Italian government
saying that we were the owners of our equipment. Let me tell you one thing,
we have played in 17 countries (EU and non EU countries) and NEVER had a
problem like this before. So we decided to go to a second border. And we
were denied again to enter the country. And this time NOT ´cause of the
equipment but simply ´cause they didn't want us to get in. SO... we decided
to try a THIRD border. And surprise, surprise, they let us in with no
problems; they didn't even want any documents. But then they decided to not
let in the opening acts, and all the back line (drums, amplifiers etc.) was
in their bus. So we waited 4-5 hours on the border hoping that they would
let them in. We asked our tour manager to contact the Slovenian promoter and
beg him to provide some drums and amps for us. At this point we were
prepared to do a show with one cymbal only if necessary. But the reply was
that the promoter couldn't get us any kind of instruments. We were REALLY
looking forward to do these two sold-out shows. We even planned to record
them on video.
The bottom line is, we had to go back to Italy and cancel these two shows.
Very fucking frustrating, but what could we do? The border acted like they
could do whatever they wanted to.
And the fucked up thing is that we heard that people had traveled from
Croatia and Austria to see us perform.
Trust me, we are as sorry as you that we couldn't play.
This cancellation was TOTALLY beyond our control!!!

released in 1995. As you could imagine this was simply a shock for all VADER

AMON AMARTH and FALCONER added to 2000-DECIBEL Festival!!!
The last five bands confirmed for 2000 Decibel
We can now present the last bands for this years 2000 Decibel Festival,
which will be held May 17th in Bengtsfors, Sweden (180 km north of
Gothenburg). The bands are Clawfinger, Pain, Nightingale, Falconer and last
but definitely not least Candlemass, who will headline the event.
Already confirmed for the festival are Amon Amarth, Diabolical, Dimension
Zero, Dionysus, Gardenian, Pathos, Seventh One, Talisman, The Project Hate
and Vintersorg.
What makes 2000 Decibel special is the fact that it is the only festival
that is totally dedicated to Swedish Hard Rock and Metal. The previous
festivals have gained a lot of attention from all over the world, which has
resulted in visitors from as far away as Canada, New Zeeland, USA,
Switzerland, Mexico, Germany, England and Holland.
Peter Iwers, In Flames, and Marco Aro, The Haunted, have both stated that
they think that 2000 Decibel is the most well organized festival they have
ever played. Have in mind that they have toured all over the world and
played most of the important festivals.
