Manowar vs Blind Guardian

This is to settle a dispute between me and a friend. Just cast your vote and give a little reason why.
I chose Blind Guardian, their lyrics and vocals are awesome and they are partly responsible for dragging Metal music through the otherwise dark ages of the 90s.
 
Blind Guardian mate! They sure helped metal through the 90s and have added some really nice stuff to it. Manowar, on the other hand, embrace the cheese a bit too much. Imaginations From The Other Side is one of my favourite albums. I think he was slagging off Rhapsody for their artwork, not asking if they could be considered in the poll. Am I correct?

Blind Guardian hands down, those who voted for manowar clearly haven't heard their cover of Barbara Ann on Follow the Blind [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]
 
That's very true Onhell, it's such a fun crazy cover! But they done a few covers of 50s American pop rock haven't they? Mr. Sandman, Surfin' USA and the likes.
 
I haven't listened to much BD, or much of Manowar, but i do prefer BD. I'm an ignorant of the subject, so my favourite song from BD must be Mr Sandman. I know it's a cover, but I really like it...
