"Maiden traces in London"

9. The Music Machine (now called KOKO, a nightclub).

1A Camden High Street

Maiden played one gig in 1977 and eleven gigs in 1979.

This is the venue where the oldest known Iron Maiden bootleg recording was made.
(it was also the scene of AC/DC's singer Bon Scott's last bender who choked on his own vomit and passed away following leaving the club at 3am).
In 2011 I visited this place with @national acrobat.

I just saw a video from Napalm Death performing there in 1994. The venue was called Camden Palace back then. What I like is the moment when the band leaves the stage, they go backstage, it looks like they go down, under the floor/stage. I can totally imagine it must have looked (almost) the same back when Maiden played their gig. It starts here. It's only about 30, 40 seconds. Not that special but still a "Maiden trace". :)

I've been to that venue four times to see Delain (twice), Sepultura and Thrice. It's not my favourite venue but it looks incredible inside and is further down the Northern Line than other venues in Camden.
