Maiden might not be touring North America until 2012

post #3 made me laugh. Don't know why though loved the idea of them doing the whole album live and wish they would do that with TFF
his stupidity is quite hilarious
Maiden should go on forums to decide what songs to play. If they did that they would either A) Play the whole thing. Or B) play the obvious six (FF, Eldorado, MOM, Coming Home, WTWWB, Alchemist) and then add Starblind and IOA. One of those two would most likely make everyone happy. Talisman will be way too hard for Bruce and King seems to be the least popular epic. That way only 2 songs get dropped.

Well i find it very unlikely that:
A. They would come to North America in the winter
B. They would spend 3+ months here

Can't say i would be entirely surprised if they wanted to bypass most of N.A. in 2011 to gig in other parts of the world but in that case i think spring of 2012 for a "proper" N.A. tour is more likely.

Also that comment said that Maiden were gonna tour South Africa for 2 months. So it's probably bollocks.

That is completely idiotic.  Maiden will tour the U.S. and Canada in the spring or summer.  Probably 3 or 4 songs off the new album and then a mix of the whole catalog.  Maybe no songs off of SIT since that is the album they usually leave songs off of with new album tours.  Shame though.  That's their best release IMHO

3 or 4? Since 7th son, they've done at least 5-6 songs from the album they were touring for.

ok, so I was off by one or two?  I have no problem with lots of songs from new albums on tour, I LOVED the AMOLAD tour,  however, I do think that maybe the boys will aquiesce somewhat next tour and not have so many new songs on the setlist.    but if they do, up the irons!!

For fun, let's make a bet and see who's right. :) I'm willing to bet at LEAST 5-6 new songs will be played and I think 6 has a better chance than 5 based on the 3 previous reunion album tours:
BNW: 6
DOD: 6
AMOLAD: Entire album

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it will be at least 5-6. I actually think they'll keep 2 or 3 tracks from the first leg too, and sprinkle in a few extra classics.

Maybe we need a new thread.....what new songs will be on the new setlist?

1.Satellite 15/FF...( I wonder if Satellite will be the intro music?)
2.Mother of Mercy
3.Coming Home
4 Isle of Avalon
5. Starblind
6. WTWWB.....( although I hope they dont do this one, they probably will. )

OK.....so you are probably right.  5 or 6 songs.  leaving any of the above off would be dissapointing to some or most real fans. maybe subsituting WTWWB with Talisman would be nice, except for the lengthy intro on that.  The rest of that song is awesome, and I would love to hear Bruce sing that one live.  And I don't think they will do El Dorado next tour. It did not seem to be very well recieved last time, even though I love it

Really? From what I've heard it has had a good reception, I hear many people saying it was better live. Also, it was a new song from an unreleased album, so not everyone would know the lyrics etc., so it might have been hard to get it.

And there is actually a thread for the setlist, in the TFF-commentary section.  :innocent:
