By chance I listened to Running Free from the original Maiden Japan release today and shortly thereafter the same track but this time from The First Ten Years release. And I couldn't believe it was the same track, but it is, officially! On the original release there's a different introduction by Paul, and the guitars have a pretty raw and slightly out of tune sound. But on The First Ten Years release the intro speech is another one and the guitars are very in tune and has a very fat sound!

May need to check out those First 10 Years CDs. Maiden Japan & NOTB were my first maiden purchases, both on cassette at the same time in 1982.

I've only heard the original Maiden Japan, which I only own on cassette. More live material from the Paul Di'Anno era is always a treat.
