Maiden Grammy 2011

I also want Maiden to win, and it makes sense why: they deserve it.  They deserve to be finally and openly acknowledged as the masters of their craft.  They are the greatest "underdog" story ever in music, imo.  Next to no MTV, radio, or other major media exposure, and they are still one of the biggest, if not THE biggest metal band in the world, and certainly the best.  And it's time the "masses" stood up and took notice.  But at this point, it's all beneath Maiden.  Maiden are simply better than any award they can earn, and their fans know it.
 
dont really care about grammys... but offcourse it would be neat to see maiden (Or megadeth or slayer) winning and given some recognizion (i bet i spelled that wrong :lol:)
 
The Grammy's is fucking ridiculous. They gave it to Motorhead for a cover of a Metallica song that was stuck on their album as a bonus track. Of all the Motorhead songs they could have picked they choose a Metallica song. Makes no sense to me.
 
Am I the only one who sees no problem in Maiden respectably accepting their award? They've always said they don't get enough media attention and to have a bitch fit when they finally receive it seems a little immature and silly. Sure it would probably be awesome and funny but it would just seem petty.

No, I'm with you. If people wanna tell you how awesome you are you should be respectful and take the compliment.
