Hi there guys and girls.Been a fan of iron maiden from the mid 80s,and still are my fav group.First of all wanted to say hi to you all,my name is chris and im 33,like i said a huge maiden fan,and heve seen them around a dozen times since the 80s.
To me they are so quintesenstial english its great, love there sense of humour and how they still can write great songs some 20 years later from when they started. In fact to me they are getting better with age.I loved all there albums, even the bailey ones, which i reckon are quite good really.
Any way i just wondered has any one else seen the article from kerrang dated september 3rd,as it obviously has a bit about the ozzffest in it.Now before any one though slags me for buying this crappy rag,i only got it because a mate of mine still buys it,so he let me have a quick look.,i only buy hammer, classic rock, terrorizer and powerplay good mags all.
The statement from rods in there, and they give a quick run down on what happened, though what was good is they had a giant page advert for death on the road on the other page, which was good.
But its the interview with sharon ossbourne which most maiden fans will fume at.I will not ruin for those who have not read it yet,but the word"monkey boy" to describe dickinson comes up a hell of a lot from her, which really pissed me off a lot.She admits turning the power up and down, and getting the other people together to throw eggs,as she puts it "me and my daughter had a fucking blast".
Also she reckons steve harris went up to ozzy to say sorry, and that dickinson is a failed solo artist who only sold 6,000 records last time out in the us.So far so fucking bad,but the bit that fucking really got me,was when she said dickinson should watch out if he runs into her fat ass of a son jack,.as he "would give dickenson one kick in the head and that would be that."
Fucking old bitch,i hope to hell some one throws a brick at her and her stupid kids when they next show up in public,to ruin a whole gig is way out of order, obviously done to get some publicity for the by all accounts ailing ozzfest, and who better a target then the much out spoken dickinson and maiden.
