I want to formally congratulate Germany for kicking out Wal-Mart from it's soil! Well done Deutche menchen! :yey:  :ok: The news said it was because ever since 1997 Wal-Mart when it first made it's way into Germany, the corporate giant has been losing money and Germany has higher standards as far as wages and employee treatment. Something really crazy was that apparently German's didn't like their groceries/products bagged for them... wtf?
 
I've never been to a Wal-Mart, actually... not because I wouldn't out of principle, but because they were all at so ridiculous locations which I couldn't have reached without a magic mule, a winged unicorn and an enchanted sword to keep the orcs away...
 
Wow, you are more reclusive than I thought Per... they did have 85 of them after all. Yet I still thing Magic carpets are the way of the future... enviornmentally friendly (but not human rights friendly since they are woven by children in Malaysia), fast and easy to store.
 
85 stores serving a population of 80 million or so? There are at least 7 in Nova Scotia (population just under 1 million). Good show, Krauts! I'm jealous.

However, let's not celebrate too soon. I'm sure there's a domestic equivilent to Wal-Mart in Germany that is equally horrible for the consumers, workers, and suppliers. Fight them next!

Hmmm.... I've never seen a Wal Mart from the inside, so I'm not sure what they sell, so I can't answer to that, Duke.
