Judas Priest's New Grammy

So Priest just won a Grammy for a song way back from my favourite album Sin After Sin. Dissident Aggressor. What took them so long? 33 years!

But it doesn't look like Priest really cares. XD

It was a grammy for the best metal performance. Dissident Aggressor was played on their latest tour, and was featured on the band's 2009 live album "A Touch of Evil: Live".

But they played it for the first time (or: for the first time in 31 years, but to be honest I really think it was the first time).
More important: The award is about the quality of a live performance, not about how old the studio song is, and even not about how often it has been played.

Who knows Maiden will get this award for Hallowed Be Thy Name in 2016. I rather see they get it for playing The Duellists, though. ;)

I'm happy Priest won. I was just commenting on how they have a relatively new album and the song they won with was recorded three decades ago. I find it ironic, not wrong. :p

The relatively new album wouldn't win them a cheesecake in the school lottery. ;)

I like their relatively-new album.
But you're right. XD Dissident Aggressor is better than anything else on the relatively-new album.

Live albums contain old and new songs.
