Judas Priest title track "Nostradamus" official track released (but not working)

Alright, and here I was today, hoping that the Priest's management would not screw this up; The upcoming album's title track was supposd to be available as official free download today at http://promo.livenation.com/judaspriest ... damus.html

They have put up two songs - One interview with Glenn and KK - BUT NO FUCKING LINK TO THE NEW SONG.
I am sooo tired of the managements grave incompetence.  Hell, they have barely promoted Priest, the fans have been kept in the dark, not knowing what the fuck is happening, with no information whatsoever and constantly moved release dates.

I am angry, pissed and disappointed. Give me the damn song now please.

The interview says that they worked in Holland with Attie Bauw, just like 18 years ago with Painkiller!

Yes! Well, I would hardly call it an interview. "We worked with him on the highly acclaimed Painkiller and we couldn't be more excited about ou new album". That sounds very much like he just read it from a paper.

Too bad we'll have to wait until 2009 to hear the whole album in its entirety. But it's understandable, considering they are to tour with Motörhead and Black Sabbath (Heaven and Hell).

It works now, i think.

..wow, i got a shock at the start, this is heavy :P

Hum. Sounds a bit like a leftover from Painkiller spiced up with some of Angel Of Retribution's more epic elements. Not that I'm saying it's all bad, but that's what it sounds like to me.

All bad? Mate, I think it's a great fucking track! Now I'm even more confident that the album might be of their best albums ever.
And I love Rob's opera inspired singing in the intro. Very tasteful.

No, I definitely don't think it's that good. Definitely.

Re: Judas Priest title track "Nostradamus" official track released (but not work

I like it.  Not classic Priest by any ways or means, but I do like it.  It's not super-duper great...but it's quite good.

It's good.  I bet it'll grow on me (they always do :P ), but I liked it.  Reminded me of Painkiller a lot; however, they also seem to be going roughly in the same way as Iced Earth nowadays.

I thought the opening of the song was so bad, I actually winced.  Very Spinal Tap. EDIT/CORRECTION: Very Andrew Lloyd Webber.

I just need to say: I disagree.

I found the opening one of the best parts, if not the best part. Very dramatic (rather than like a musical).

LOL!  I couldn't agree more.  Maybe it will grow on me as Invader stated?

We get it  ;).  You love the song,  you disagree with anyone that doesn't.  No need to say it every time :P.

Personally I find it ok.  The intro is interesting but it kinda sounds like they're trying to make it sound epic,  rather than that coming out naturally.  The rest of the song indeed reminds me of Painkiller.  Still it's not a bad song,  but I think there are probably better songs on the album than this one.  Same thing happened with AMOLAD when Breeg was the first song to be released but was among the weakest on the album (only my opinion obviously).

I heard the track plenty of times, it reeks of Hellrider and Painkiller, and it's a grow on you type but still hits you the first listen! Love Rob's voice coupled with the symphonic stuff! The production is kinda off, with low volume guitar and drums, but since it's an mp3, the release version can be better. The guitar solos feature more of speed rather than melody though, not really compelling for me.
