Jack Bruce died

Forostar

Ancient Mariner
The legendary Jack Bruce died. Sold millions of albums in the sixties with Cream, but he did much more as well.
E.g. with The Tony Williams Lifetime.

Bruce influenced people like Sting and Geddy Lee. Lee mentioned Bruce as one of his five favourite bassists of all time:
"Jack Bruce of course was my hero when I first started playing. Just him coming out with that bluesy, jazzy style on bass and he brought a kind of aggressive tone to the Cream."
RIP.

Sad news, he was a great player. RIP.

Here's another great track that featured him

A unique player. Widely imitated, never duplicated. Played bass like a lead guitar, much more so than most other bassists. RIP.

I always thought that one was a standard. What rock musician doesn't know how to play Sunshine? Then last year I met a guitarist in his 50s who didn't know it...

Glenn Hughes and Geezer Butler, yesterday:
